Hey Bee

I have an interesting question for you.

My 21-yo son has complained of what he feel are allergy symptoms: stuffy,

runny nose, cough (all mucous-type symptoms).

Last August, he left for Germany for a 7-month mission outreach.

I was still learning about your program and had begun to switch our family

diet over to your way of eating, but I knew he was addicted to carbs (ie.,

after eating three platefuls of spaghetti, him telling me he could still eat

more) and he was obese when he left here.

In Germany, he walked 20 minutes to and from school three times/day with a

section of it being an 18-20* incline. He also spent 6 wks in Peru (eating

mostly fruit, but also playing at the beach daily).

He lost around 30 lbs during these 7 months, but his diet was mostly bread

and fruits. Virtually no fat, little protein. Lots of bread.

He is back home now and I asked him this morning what his 'allergies' did

while he was away.

He said that he did not experience any of his 'usual' symptoms while away

and he noticed that the very first morning home, he woke up with a dry

throat and now he's got all these " mucous " symptoms again (sniffling,

coughing).

In light of your program, which I firmly believe in, how can what has

happened to him be explained?

Living on a diet of mostly carbs, he not only lost weight but he had none of

his typical 'allergy' symptoms and now that he is back home (and eating more

fat and protein and way less carbs; certainly no refined carbs), his allergy

symptoms have returned.

Thanks for any insight you can give me.

+++Hi ,

While your son was living mostly on carbs his body stopped detoxifying itself so

that is why he did not get " allergic-like " symptoms. Those symptoms are

actually detoxifying symptoms.

Cheers, Bee

Oh, my... Even before I read this, I told my girls that is probably what was

going on: detox; and wouldn't he be GLAD to hear his symptoms are not sickness

or allergies but detox?

the biggest question is will he accept it or listen to the world...

sigh. Thanks, Dear...
