The 7th Habit of > Highly Effective people is to " stop and 'sharpen the saw' " otherwise the > efficiency of the whole process goes down I was reading on the liver curezone message board recently messages from several people who have flushed 50+ times in much less time than Jay's accrual period and they continued to produce stones. They said their bodies told them when to flush and they followed that. Others reported hitting a plateau where they only needed maintenance flushing like mentions, once or twice a year. Somewhere I read an interesting idea, maybe here, I cannot remember, that some experts think cholesterol stones are made when you are on a low-fat diet too long and the body is trying to stockpile supplies it might need later for chemical processes. Gave me food for thought -- Since you are interested in Cheng's products and philosophy and since her point of view will be different culturally, ie the Eastern TCM point of view, possibly she can shed light on what the Chinese think produces stones. She has a strong science background so she is bringing two sensibilities to the discussion. Hope this info helps. I too like the " sharpen the saw " approach. Guest guest
Hi Will: Well, I recognized that I have spent a lot of time on the SAD diet with a lot of high-fat food - up until about 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I changed a lot for a year or so, then went back to old ways. (I still have my prostate against the advice of my urologist who gets paid a big fee for removing them. I have frequent check ups and no more cancer can be detected. I'm currently 72.) I first started flushes about 5 or 6 years ago. I almost gave up after the first one because nothing but " chaff " came out. At that time I was in communication with a guy from " Ask Tom " which is where I found out about the flush, which is the same as the one called the " " flush on this list - Epsom salts and 1/2 cup of oil with grapefruit juice. Ask Tom encouraged me to continue because they said that the chaff is often what's plugging the pipes in the liver and is a precursor to releasing stones. After that first flush I began getting many pea size and larger stones with each flush, anywhere from 100 of those that size, on up to 300 or more with a lot of little ones thrown in. Then the stones stopped at flushes #11 and #12. Feeling that I still had more to go, I went to a much more aggressive flush, a modification of the Dr. flush which you can find at: http://curezone.com/cleanse/liver/Are_You_Stoned.asp<http://curezone.com/cleanse\ /liver/Are_You_Stoned.asp> I followed the routine until 10:00 pm and then ingested 1/4 cup of olive oil and the juice of 1/2 of a lemon every 15 minutes until I had consumed 2 cups of oil. Great results. (Follow this only after following the routine for at least 4 or 5 flushes.) Many more stones and larger stones and darker stones came out with the flush. Then around flush #14 or #15 I passed an enormous amount of lard looking stuff. This passed for two days after the flush. At that time I also lost 8 pounds from the flush. No one, but no one can tell me what I passed but I'm convinced that it was from the liver and not the colon. During my next flush I also more of the " lard " and more stones. I haven't seen any more lard since then. The more I flush, the darker the stones that come out, and while the total quantity is sometimes less than earlier flushes, the size of the stones are significantly larger. Yes, there have been times on both the and flushes that the results have not been very good but each time that has happened I have been able to attribute it to either oil for breakfast (eggs) or the day before. I now have no fat or meat for at least two days prior to the flush. I surmise that what is happening is that the stones are no longer coming out of the gallbladder but from the liver. From what searching I have done I've found that the darker stones are from the liver and have been in there for a long time. (After one flush I ran a fever of 102 or so for 8 hours, and then it cleared up. Am convinced that this is coming out the liver and am also convinced that you must use the Epsom salts in the morning followed up with fiber/psyllum for the next two or three days to keep the toxins moving out of the body.) So, I no longer do gallbladder flushes, I do liver flushes. Jay <<I think everyone should do regular flushes of the liver, digestive system and lymph BUT I'm wondering, Jay, what is going on with the 29 stone-filled flushes? I know many others here are reporting the same thing. What I am thinking is that the flush is the same as bailing water out of a leaky boat. The stone load continues as long as you don't plug the leak. My goal in all this includes flushing and dissolving to get rid of current stones but I ALSO want to " plug the leak in the boat " e.g. stop the accrual process. I want to get to the point where my bile flows without creating stones. This is where the diet changes, weight loss, exercise, herbs, stress management and all else gets to heal the liver and GB. I've come to believe that all people need to fast on a regular basis, flush the system and maintain the equipment. I will always do that. The 7th Habit of Hightly Effective people is to " stop and 'sharpen the saw' " otherwise the efficiency of the whole process goes down. I know I will have achieved my goal when, in addition to being symptom-free, I will also have flushes that don't produce much in the way of stones. Gave me food for thought -->> The highest cholesterol reading I have ever had was the day after a 3 day fast and into the 4th day - nothing but water. Happened to have a dr's appointment and had the blood test and my reading was 318!! You will get many gallstones if you diet and lose weight, and if you Yo Yo diet, get more yet. As you lose weight you are losing fat and protein and it's no different than eating loads of untrimmed steaks. At the time of that blood test with the 318 cholesterol reading, I had not been eating a high fat diet before hand. I think it was simply my body fat gurgling around my system. Guest guest
This is great info. I've only done 2 flushes so far however, after 2 or 3 more I may just try this other flush. Also, as far as weight loss I also lost quite a bit of weight just from my 2 flushes. I lost 12lbs from my two flushes. I by no means am overweight. I only weigh about 138lbs and am 5'6. I constantly hear from people that haven't seen me for awhile how much weight I've lost. I hear it so much that I even asked my wife if she thinks I've lost to much weight. She reassured me that I look just fine. My diet has been very good for the past 3 years and I did my 2 flushes in the past year so I know my weight loss is from the flushes. I'm going to be doing another flush in the next 2 weeks as its been 6 months since my last flush. I'll let everyone know how this flush goes.
