> Any suggestions as to where I can go for the best price for butter oil?

+++Hi ,

There are only 2 sources I know of, and they are exactly the same product with

only a $0.05 difference in price per 240 mL, 8.1 oz., 96 half-teaspoon servings.

Green Pastures charges $60.00 each:

Dr. Ron's Ultra Pure charges $59.95 each:

http://www.drrons.com/blue-ice-x-factor-butter-oil.htm

Shipping may be cheaper for you from one rather than the other, so check both of

them.

Hi Bee,

I just thought of something in regards to butter oil. I buy grassfed organic

ghee from indian foods (from your site) and I've noticed it says butter oil on

the jar listed under the ingredients. Is this really butter oil? I thought ghee

was the same as butter just minus the milk proteins. And butter oil had a lot

more vitamins/nutrients, right? Could you clarify this?

Thanks,

+++Hi ,

My jar of Pure Indian Foods Organic Ghee Grass-Fed doesn't say butter oil under

the Ingredients. In another place on the label it says it can be used in place

of oil or butter, but that does not infer the oil referred to is butter oil.

My label has: Organic Butter (made from non-homogenized whole milk from

grass-fed cows) No GMOs, No Added Salt, No Preservatives, No Trans Fats.

That Ghee is prepared by melting and simmering unsalted butter until all the

water evaporates and the milk solids settle at the bottom.

Butter Oil is made from cream; to make 1 lb of butter oil, it takes 16 lbs. of

cream. Butter Oil is made by centrifuging (not heating) cream until the oil

separates from the milk solids and whey.
