Hi - have you done a research here in the archives or on her site? I know

this topic has been discussed within the past year and Bee has given her beliefs

on it. You can do this research while you await Bee's response in the morning.

plan on going much. Just 2 times a week for 3 weeks. I usually wouldn't even do

this but the bride has asked me to get a little color since I'm ghostly white

compared to everyone else...haha.

of the natural factors halibut liver oil. I don't shower right after but I do

about 5 hours later. I've gone a total of 3 times now and plan on going 3 more

times. One more time this week and 2 next week and then that's it.

have another wedding coming up that I'm in and just want to get a little color.

Being I work indoors everyday and it's not very warm out yet where I live my

only option is to use a tanning bed. I don't want to over do it or do anything

to overdose on Vitamin D so just wanted to ask you about this.

+++Hi ,

I just typed in tanning as the Subject in our Search on the Group my message on

Tanning Beds came up as the 4th one:

Why You Shouldn't Use Tanning Beds When You Take Cod Liver Oil – Message

+++Hi kelly,

Can you tan with only UVA rays, and are there tanning beds that only have UVA

rays? Maybe so, I don't know.

However, UVB rays create vitamin D on your skin, while the UVA rays in the

sunlight will tend to destroy excessive levels of vitamin D circulating in your

body.

This is from my article Vitamin D – Amount of Sun Exposure Required:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sun.php

" Some people may worry that if they are in the sun a lot they will overdose on

Vitamin D. However this doesn't happen, and here's why.

When you're exposed to the sun, the UVB rays create vitamin D on your skin,

while the UVA rays in the sunlight will tend to destroy excessive levels of

vitamin D circulating in your body. That means that even " if " you are taking

vitamin D and also getting it from the sun, the UVA rays in sunlight won't allow

you to have too much vitamin D. "

+++Hi ,

Yes, you can overdose on vitamin D, which what I wrote, so just to be safe you

should not take any vitamin D for those few weeks, and only take Omega 3 and

vitamin A in the usual doses, if tanning is that important.

However, that advice is given without any promises from me, since I did write

this in my message:

I refuse to get into details of how long you " could " stop taking CLO before

using a tanning bed, which means switching over to only taking fish oil (only

contains omega 3) and a separate vitamin A, since that means calculating how

much vitamin D a safe tanning bed produces, how long a person is in it, and

whether your skin has enough natural oils for vitamin D to be created on it,

etc.

+++Hi ,

I do not know, and I'm not willing to get into any details to figure it out

either.

+++If the tanning bed also has UVA rays then there is no concern with taking

vitamin D as my article explains.

Otherwise, I refuse to get into details of how long you " could " stop taking CLO

before using a tanning bed [that is UBV rays only], which means switching over

to only taking fish oil (only contains omega 3) and a separate vitamin A, since

that means calculating how much vitamin D a safe tanning bed produces, how long

a person is in it, and whether your skin has enough natural oils for vitamin D

to be created on it, etc.
