I'm very weary of taking anything anymore, and I feel like I've been messing with my body for so long, especially due to the pill, on top of that, I did not have good eating habits growing up, and up until I started the Candida diet by Bee, I was a vegetarian, and had been for about 6 years. > > Sorry for my long posts, it's just that at the beginning of this journey, I guess we all have tons of questions. +++Hi Caroline, Your posts aren't that long - some are 2 - 5 pages. 5 pages is a very very long one. : ) Any antifungals drugs like nystatin, diflucan, etc. are toxic to our bodies, so read Why Antifungals Are Not Needed, not even natural ones like garlic: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/antifungal1.php I encourage you to read messages on the group and also use the Subject Search function on the group to find things you need. Here's a message I am constantly posting this on the group: Candida cannot be cured by " killing it off " or by " trying to get rid of it. " It just doesn't work that way. Candida can only cured by getting healthy, which is done by: 1) Consuming all of the nutrients any Human needs in order to be healthy, which is what this program is all about, i.e. overall health. 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer). 3) Eliminating damaging foods. 4) Eliminating toxins in general. When you are healthy enough your body automatically " changes " candida (or any bug, cancer, etc.) back into the organism it is supposed to be when the body is healthy. It's like the manure pile and the flies, with the manure pile representing the poor condition of the body. You cannot get rid of the manure pile by killing off the flies. You must clean up the manure pile instead, which means getting healthy according to Nature's Laws on Health. Our moderator, , was vegetarian for a long time too, and she writes about how damaging it is on the group. Her messages are terrific. Many other members had also been vegetarian prior to going on this program. Since you have taken birth control pills so long it will take longer than normal healing time for your body to clear them out because of how hormones act in your body. That is true for any hormones taken for any kind of health issue, even bio-identical, supposedly natural, hormones. But we can get into that later on since you are just beginning. Also, I'm trying to get all of my articles revised due to new research, including my article How to Successfully Overcome Candida, but it is a hugh job. Even though new information means I need to explain some things differently this program (diet plus supplements) has always improved health. Actually candida, a fungus, is the result of poor health and it can happen anytime in life. Most babies today are born with it. Pinpointing " when " is not as important as getting healthy. Guest guest
Hi Bee, Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I now realize that using the BC pill and being a vegetarian for so long were BIG mistakes... I am totally committed to getting healthy and will do everything I need to in order to achieve it. There's so much to learn and through this process I began to question everything we think we know about food, diet and how our bodies work, and realized that many beliefs that we hold about these things are just plain wrong. Also, I no longer trust traditional Western medicine AT ALL, since all they want to do is treat symptoms without even finding out the underlying cause of the problem. My gastroenteroligst diagnosed me with " tortuous colon " and " idiopathic constipation " , which to me is total nonsense... Because of this group I now feel like I'm not totally alone in this journey. Thank you so much. Best, Caroline

I made BIG mistakes too, and so has everyone else on this group. One of my favorite quotes is: " Do not regret yesterday; Life is in you today and you make your tomorrow. " You are definitely not alone on your journey towards health. We all all here to help, support, and cheer you on! All the best, Bee
