I've begun to enjoy just dropping some CO in a hot cup of water and drinking it down... so there are days when i'd have 6-7 Tbsp... If it is not ok to have more than 5.5 T, and we still need more fat, is butter OK to use (no limit, in other words)? Thanks began 03/09/

Coconut oil isn't intended to be taken by the spoonfuls, except to help curb cravings (taken by the teaspoon when needed). It is intended to be used like other fats, i.e to cook foods, poured over cooked foods, mixed into or added to foods, like broth, soup, stew, etc. The value of fats in meats, fish and eggs (connected with them, in them, etc.) is much higher than taking fats separately by the spoonful. That's why pork is so good, since it is higher in fat than other meats. I compared the cost per tablespoon of Whole Foods Organic Butter, $3.99 per lb. (32 tablespoons) to Nutiva Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 54 ounces (108 tablespoons) from iHerb. Organic Butter = $0.12 per tablespoon Nutiva EVCO = $0.24 per tablespoon All the best, Bee
Guest guest
If I choose to take CO by the spoonful (with meals of course) is this okay? I also freeze CO and butter with a little cinnamin and vanilla bean powder and eat it just like that (with my meals including protein/carbs). Is this okay?
