Guest guest
Hi Kathy, If you're on Bee's candida diet, you shouldn't be having cream or cheese since they both contain lactose and cheese contains mold. There could be many reasons why you are not losing weight, but weight is the least of your concerns while healing. Your focus should be on getting healthy and eliminating those two foods which aren't helping you. Your body will lose weight when it is ready to do so. You can't rush it. People get their fats up by adding butter, olive oil, coconut oil, lard, ghee, etc. to their foods. You can purée your well-cooked vegetables with lots of butter and use it as a gravy or just eat the butter as it is with every mouthful of food. You don't need to worry so much if you go over your protein intake; just make sure not to go over your carb intake. Guest guest
Hi ~ I was actually just doing her other diet, the all meat diet. I think she allows dairy on that one. Since I cut out sugar and starch and grains, tons of my symptoms disappeared within a week or so. I was on a hypoglycemia list and eating about 6 times a day. Now I am fine going 5 or more hours without eating and my blood sugar is stable. I joined this list because there is such a wealth of information here. :-) I think I will take another look at her Candida diet as I know many people have it and I could be one of them. (?) (?) +++Hi Kathy, Do you mean you are doing my All Meat and Fat Program that I recommend to candida sufferers, or are you doing my Weight Loss Program or my Healthy Diet Program? The last 2 programs do include dairy products other than butter - is it this food list you are using Kathy? http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/weight/foodslist2.php Depending upon your age, health issues, etc. you may benefit more by doing that program anyway, since Candida is the " result of " and not the " cause of " poor health. Here's the Index for Candida on my website: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/candida/index.php All the best, Bee

Do not be as concerned about your protein ratio being higher. It is more important to get your fats up to at least the lower range of your ratios and to keep your carbs at the ratio or below. Have you had hormone issues in the past, taken birth control pills or any other type of hormones, whether bioidentical or not, i.e. for thyroid, adrenals, hormone replacement for menopause, etc.? Or are you currently taking any hormones, drugs of any kind, etc.? Have you had any female-related issues before starting on the program? Do you have any of those issues now? I suggest you calculate your Body Mass Index. Use this calculator, which is more accurate since it includes height, weight, activity level, and your waist, hips and neck measurements: http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html Let me know what it is, okay, and then we can discuss this further. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee > I don't think I realized that there were 2 different all meat programs. Do you have a link for the program you recommend? I have never been on the pill or hormones. I am 47 in May. I did have a hysterectomy about 2 years ago due to enlarged uterus and *extremely large* blood clots each month. I still have my ovaries. I was diagnosed " border line hypoglycemic " in 1982 and never took it seriously. Before I got the sugar, starch and grains out of my diet, I was bi-polar (my own diagnosis) and had high anxiety, migraines and the shakes most mornings. I got so dizzy I had to hang on to the walls to walk through the house. There were probably more symptoms but now they are all gone except for a bit of brain fog. I do notice an occasional vaginal discharge that is yellow and also a bit of burning and itching, but it is mild and not consistent. Lately I have had itching under my arms and if I absent mindedly scratch it, it gets red with bumps. This too is not too bothersome and I do live in humid Hawaii. But this is a newer symptom since I stopped sugar. I am concerned about meats having hormones in them. I will look into organic but they are very costly as are most things here. I did buy some flax seed oil, and fish oil capsules. Do I need to be more specific than that? I enter foods into Fit Day but not the capsules as I didn't realize I could. Thank you so much for all your help. Kathy I will copy and paste my results from the calculator here: *Body Mass Index:* 30.7 kg/m2 *Waist-to-Height ratio:* 0.56 *Percent Body Fat:* 42.9% *Lean Body Mass:* 108.5 lb You are overweight by 16.4 kilograms (36.1 pounds) You need to exercise at least 30 minutes every day. Minimum caloric requirements: 1855 Calories per day Limit your food intake to 1576 calories per day. to lose 2.0 pounds per month. Your diet should contain at least 55 grams of protein per day > > > +++Hi Kathy, > > I assume you enter foods, coconut oil, cod liver oil, etc. into fitday.comso you see where you are high, low, etc. ? > > Do not be as concerned about your protein ratio being higher. Do you have a link for the program you recommend? +++Hi Kathy. I do not have two different All Meat & Fat Programs. There is only one but it explains this in the 2nd sentence: " When a person is able to consume at least the lower range of their fat ratios - see Calculate Protein, Fat & Carb Ratios, they would be able to do this program. " +++Therefore, you would not do that program until after you've been on one of my other health programs so you have slowly introduced fats and gradually increased them to the lower range of their fat ratios. +++The reason is because increasing good fats too quickly creates more healing and detoxifying symptoms at one time and those symptoms are difficult to deal with. > >>I have never been on the pill or hormones. I am 47 in May. I did have a hysterectomy about 2 years ago due to enlarged uterus and *extremely large* blood clots each month. I still have my ovaries. +++That is evidence that you were very unhealthy. Lately I have had itching under my arms and if I absent mindedly scratch it, it gets red with bumps. This too is not too bothersome and I do live in humid Hawaii. But this is a newer symptom since I stopped sugar. +++Kathy, I think you should do my Candida Program because of your issues above since it is an overall healing program. Here's my Candida Section index with the 2 articles that are most important listed first: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/candida/index.php >>>I am concerned about meats having hormones in them. I will look into organic but they are very costly as are most things here. +++Do not be concerned about hormones in meats, since the animals' own body detoxifies them, and they are butchered long before the animals health becomes poor, so the meat is still healthy. The only difference between organic or certified organic animals fed their natural diet and non-organic is their meats and fats are healthier. But I always recommend you eat whatever is affordable and available, whether organic or not, because it is better to eat them for their nutrients than to avoid getting those nutrients. >>> I did buy some flax seed oil, and fish oil capsules. Do I need to be more specific than that? +++I do not recommend flax seed oil because our bodies must convert the kinds of omega 3 in them, and flax seed oil goes rancid (bad) very easily. I recommend omega 3 from fish oil that does not need conversion, but it must be taken with vitamin A and D, and all 3 of those nutrients are in cod liver oil. Recommended Daily Amounts of Omega 3, and Vitamins A & D: Vitamin A: 20,000 IU - 30,000 IU Vitamin D: 800 IU - 1,200 IU Omega-3: 2,000 mg - 3,000 mg [EPA plus DHA] See this article for more information and details: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php >> I enter foods into Fit Day but not the capsules as I didn't realize I could. +++Most people take cod liver oil and that is easily entered into fitday.com and capsules cannot be entered - it's much too tricky and difficult. >>>>I will copy and paste my results from the calculator here: > *Body Mass Index:* 30.7 kg/m2 *Waist-to-Height ratio:* 0.56 *Percent Body > Fat:* 42.9% *Lean Body Mass:* 108.5 lb > You are overweight by 16.4 kilograms (36.1 pounds) > You need to exercise at least 30 minutes every day. > Minimum caloric requirements: 1855 Calories per day > Limit your food intake to 1576 calories per day. > to lose 2.0 pounds per month. > Your diet should contain at least 55 grams of protein per day +++Just being that overweight indicates you are unhealthy, so you need to get healthy overall, which will also normalize your weight, by doing my Candida Program as I advised above. Guest guest
> I usually end up drinking 3 cups of decaf coffee with 2 Tbsp of Coconut oil each just so I can get all my fats in. Kathy - I'm still learning and one thing I keep hearing Bee say is to have a " complete " meal: in other words, have fat and protein and supplements together. as in, don't have fat by itself (unless, as Bee says, it is 1 tsp of coconut oil or butter to stave off hunger). Otherwise " all nutrients work together " so it is OK to have the CO in your coffee as long as it is with a meal of other fat and protein. Yes, your journey towards health starts by reading and learning, and there is no substitute. Luv & Hugs, Bee
