Supplements with meals

Hello!

Although I do my best to take my supplements with meals, I do occasionally

forget. (This is all still a bit new to me.) However, I often realize my

mistake shortly after the meal. How long after completing my meal can I take

supplements for it to still be considered WITH the meal? One hour? A few

hours?

If I forget in the morning, is it OK for me to take morning supplements with

lunch, then evening supplements with supper? Or would those two doses be too

close together? Is " too close together " better than not taking them at all?

I'm SO grateful for your passion to help us heal!!!

+++Hello Heidi,

is correct that you can still take supplements about 1 hour after meals

for your stomach to digest them with the meal. That is because a meal stays in

the stomach for awhile.

You can also take them with your next meal. No, 2 doses taken at lunch and

supper are not too close together. Yes, too close together is better than not

taking them at all. If you forget your supper dose, eat a poached egg and take

them with it. But if that is too close to bedtime it may interfere with trying

to get to sleep, not the egg, the supplements.

Your body is able to sort out all of the nutrients you intake in one day so do

not be overly concerned about which meal you have them with.

If you happen to forget most supplements in one day, just take normal doses the

next day. Your body will wait, if it really needs something in order to process

nutrients one day, until it gets them the next day.

Also, remember to not take any supplements for one day once a month so your body

can adjust itself as it sees fit - that does not include coconut oil which is

considered a whole food. But it does including cod liver oil.

Do not take fats, oils, or oil soluble supplements like cod liver oil (omega 3,

vitamins A & D) too close to bedtime since they provide so much energy they will

keep you awake for awhile. 3 hours prior to bedtime is the rule for taking

them.

You are so welcome for my passion to help! It makes me very happy.

All the best, Bee
