*oops!*

*u make coconut milk out of the shredded meat not water*

*water is another matter!*

*once u have the shredded coconut meat; u can obtain the coconut milk by

using a juicer*

* Masticating Juicers *

*[image: An example of a manual masticating juicer that is really good for

wheatgrass and other green leafy vegetables.]Masticating means to chew, to

grind or knead into a pulp.*

*Your teeth are an excellent example of mastication in action. Your teeth

chew and grind food. After you swallow, the food then goes to your digestive

system which, through the process of digestion, begins to extract the juice

from the food you eat.*

*Much in the same way, a masticating juicer grinds vegetables and literally

squishes out the juice. Since a masticating juicer works at low speeds and

with no spinning action, it tends to juice many vegetables more efficiently.

*

*

*

*the by product here willbe the coconut flour*

*thank you*

Hi . I prefer to make my coconut milk from fresh coconut which I break up

into pieces and whizz in a blender with hot water, but you may well be able to

do it with pre-shredded.

I would suggest that you put a cup of coconut and a cup of hot (not boiling)

water in a glass bowl and leave it to steep for a while. When it has cooled to

a temperature you can handle pour through fine gauze (muslin or a nylon jelly

bag) then pull up the sides of the gauze, twist and squeeze tightly.

I find when I use fresh coconut that I can do that twice and it is still creamy

enough to use as milk, but you may wish to taste it at that point to see if you

could get away with putting another cup of hot water through it.

You may need to experiment the first few times until you get the ratio of water

to coconut to your taste. Less water will make coconut cream, more water,

coconut milk.

I love coconut milk and use it all the time. Sometimes I use fresh coconut,

sometimes tinned (not the hydrogenated rubbish) and sometimes I use Maggi

powdered coconut milk.

As has been mentioned, coconut water is the clear liquid that is poured out

through the holes of a fresh coconut.

Hope this helps.

i used 1 cup of shredded coconut in 1-1/2 c. hot water, then i strain it

thoroughly. after it cooled, i added some vanilla and some stevia to sweeten

it. i get the shredded coconut for a good price and am unable to get coconuts

and it's difficult for me to open them to get the milk, so this works for me.

thanks, diana

I have a jar of coconut cream but I don't like it. Can I use it to make

coconut milk or coconut water? Thanks, Sylvia

Hi, ;

I don't know if you've ever tried fresh ones in oriental markets or not? I live

at northern CA, I buy whole box of fresh young coconuts from Asian supermarket.

Since I never had those fresh ones before I don't know what " toast " taste like.

To me, those ones are very refreshing. How do I tell if those ones are

irradiated? (they're from Thailand).

Anyone has idea if we should not eat those fresh ones?

thanks

It's hard to find unsweetened coconut water but there out there, only

thing is that the store near my house that has a lot of different

brands, appears now to only have one that is unsweetened and I feel it's

overpriced. A few days ago I bought one 12 oz. can of " Conchita " brand

at Walmart (in the Hispanic food isle) because it was less than a dollar

but still, it's not something I could buy a lot of to always keep at

hand. I haven't checked at other supermarkets but I'm sure the story is

much the same, and this is here in FL where coconut products are more

abundant than in other states...

The good place to shop for Coconut water is Amazon. com. I have been buying few

different brands from there. Zico, Vita Coco, ONE. I personally like Zico the

most. The ONE second. Sometimes, they have on sale. The Zico and ONE I checked

that their Coconut water made from " green " Coconut. However, I am not sure if

they add any sweet or not....

You can buy the O.N.E coconut and Vita Coco at Whole Foods Markets. The

O.N.E coconut water has a website.

Yes, quite easy to know if the one bought is artificially sweetened with

(white) sugar. Too bad for diabetic people.

What about this one: http://www.onenaturalexperience.com/

I bought one of these at a health food store. I read where someone used

drops of coconut water to remove (?) cataracts and my husband has a bad one

from a cornea transplant operation. His body produced scar tissue over the

corneas and he won't have another operation. I thought that I would try the

coconut water and see what kind of results we get. We are both diabetic and

I have been having problems with my eyes too and thought that I would try

drops in my eyes too to see what happens. I haven't started the drops yet

because I want some kind of bottle to store the coconut water in. I don't

want to leave it in the " box " it comes in. I will also refrigerate it

because the container of 11.2 ozs is one serving so doesn't say if it needs

to be refrigerated if it isn't all consumed at one time.

I am going to run back up to where I bought my " box " of coconut water and

recheck the price. I think I only paid $1.19 for it which means over a $6

savings from ordering the same 12 " boxes " directly from the online store.

The Vita Coco does not said. Made from " green coconut " , but the O.N.E. Does said

in their website. Another brand " Zico " , has a good taste. Wholefoods store is

good but, Amazon can get better deal over time, because they always have on sale

on these in random. Plus, over $25 dollars FREE shipping and NO sales tax.

The label should indicate whether any sugar was added.

Even non-sweetened coconut water I have purchased has more carbs that

I would want because of my diabetes.

Maybe if I could read the label of a brand claiming the water is from

young coconuts, the carbs might be less.

Either I was wrong about the price or I mis-remembered the correct price. It

was $1.99 so it would be a big savings to order the 12 pack from ONE. Unless

Doug Kaufmann, author of The Fungus Link books and host of the TV show

" Know the Cause " <http://www.knowthecause.com> sustains that cataracts

and diabetes are caused by fungal infestation. Here's a page that lists

all the conditions associated with fungus:

Since coconuts produce a lot of lauric acid which is anti-fungal it

would make sense that coconut water could work.

A friend also told me that a health food store owner once told her that

she knew a woman who dissolved her cataracts by putting a drop of raw

honey in her eyes (raw honey has anti-fungal properties too...).

Unsweetened coconut water has around 14 g. of carbs per 12 oz. can (the

average of sweetened brands is 30...).

If a coconut is too young it won't have enough water, same if it's

dry/full. Besides, the water of fuller coconuts tastes different

(stronger) so I'm pretty sure all the coconut water out there is from as

young coconuts as possible.

I grew up in an island with lots of coconut trees and whenever I went to

the beach there would be street vendors who would cut the top off with

their " machete " for the customers to drink and then when we were

finished they'd split the coconut and fashion a spoon from the coconut

" bark " so we could eat the soft meat - yum!

Ooo, raw honey! My grandpa raised bees and didn't have any health problems

that I know of. He did use glasses when reading and he was stooped over like

he had osteoporosis problems but he walked his neighborhood and helped out

his neighbors until my aunt put him and my grandmother in a nursing home.

I think we have some people selling raw honey on the roadsides. I will have

to get some and try it. Any idea how long it takes? Probably at *least* a

few weeks. Thanks, Sylvia

Hmm, I didn't even notice if they had a bigger sized one but we don't have a

Modern Western medicine has this belief that each and every condition

& disease has a specific cause. A disease or a condition may be

caused by dozens of different causes. Different people with the same

symptoms may have their problem caused by different organisms,

metabolic imbalance, or toxic chemicals.

I have been studying type II diabetes since 2001. Some people may

have a genetic weakness which prevents the pancreas from putting out

insulin as they age. Others may have insulin resistance from eating

the wrong kind of fats. I would not be surprised to learn that

diabetes could be caused by fungal infestation.

However, to use a slightly different analogy, yeast overgrowth is

often seen as a " cause " of many problems, when it can be the result of

internal imbalances which allow the opportunistic infection to

flourish.

Often there are several " causes " operating at once. So putting all

ones focus on dealign with one single cause may not have the effect

desired.

Take cataracts, for example. A friend of mine just had cataract

surgery. The cataracts were caused by a " rare side effect " of some

medicine he takes. So not all cataracts are caused by fungus.

yesterday i bought a carton of Harvest Bay coconut water on sale for $3.50.

that is more than one serving. perhaps i should go back and get a few more, as

it's usually $4.99. i love coconut water more than any other beverage.

for eyes, would one put a small amount of the water in a dropper bottle? it

seems that would work.

also, how can i find out if it has been radiated?

Yes, that is what I had planned. I had just gone and bought 2 amber bottles

capped with eyedroppers. Also, the box that the coconut water came in

doesn't say to refridgerate after opening but I am supposing it is because

it is only one serving and is expected to be drank at one time.

It doesn't say it was irradiated so if anyone knows the answer to that, I'd

like to know too. I bought it at a health food store and expected that if it

had been irradiated or pasturized it should say so on the box. Thanks,

Sylvia

My beliefs lie somewhere in the middle of yours, I don't necessarily

believe that " all " conditions have a specific cause but I also don't

believe there's " dozens " of cause for any given condition. My biggest

problem actually is with the word " cause " to be honest. More times than

not when I make a search about the " cause of anything " the most

inconclusive reasons are given as a cause.

It's true that everyone who casually or intendedly has cured a number of

people with the same conditions believe that they have found the " only "

cause of a problem (i.e. Dr. Simoncini & Doug Kaufmann) and at this

point I really look past that since I've learned better but in many

cases it's no less true that some of the things you mention are nothing

but ways of deteriorating the body so those " opportunistic " organism

have a chance to multiply and wreak havoc in our organs and not

necessarily the other way around which is the way " modern Western

medicine " things this.

I really wonder why it is that with about 400 known to date types of

fungi that can cause disease so many people find it unlikely that they

can be responsible for serious damage to our health. Dr. A. V.

Constantini and others have been studying this for a long time and they

have found that there are fungi capable of changing their host's DNA so

why is it so hard to believe that they can really be the REAL culprit of

the diseases you say are " caused " by metabolic imbalances or toxic

chemicals. As I see it and like I said before, those to me are not

causes but only different ways to make the human body " fertile ground "

for those organisms to do what they do best: compost!

In a way though this is kind of like the chicken and the egg, but maybe

more so in the case of Candida since it's a normal component of the

human instestinal flora. But when it comes to the other 399 species of

fungi you just have to wonder; many of those hitch a ride onto our

bodies via food, objects we touch, or the air we breath just like

bacteria or viruses so they can cause serious disease just like them,

worse yet, many have been proven to have immuno-suppresive qualities,

such as antibiotics. Cyclosporin, the drug given to organ transplant

patients is a mycotoxin, is it not? So then again, what's so hard to

believe about that?

The very way houses and buildings are made in the U.S. (and maybe

Canada) insures that this problem is perpetuated, wood and other

materials don't really last in good condition as people would like and

they're very prone to harboring humidity much more than concrete block

or brick construction as used in other countries. And the only danger

of the SAD (Standard American Diet) is not that it contains a lot of

junk food, it's the most of that junk food adds insult to injury because

they're largely grain-based in they contain mycotoxins which accumulate

in the body.

And about your friend, neither you nor I could prove nor disprove that

the medicine he took caused some kind of reaction that favoured the

growth of fungus in his eyes (take the example of mercury facilitating

Candida overgrowth...). Just saying 'cause I still think it's possible

there are other " reasons " too.

Anyway, we are all free to believe what we choose but we should leave

the freedom to others to consider all possibilities, all it takes for

someone to make up their minds is to do their own personal research and

see if what they find makes sense to them or not but they can't explore

a direction that they've never been made aware of, can they?
