Guest guest
> > Hi, Bee, > > I am wondering what I can do to help my dd, age 8, and my ds, age 3. DD started feeling bad on Sunday and we just thought she was constipated. Then, she went back and forth between constipation and diarrhea. I gave her lots of good fats: coconut oil, butter, etc. > I think that on Sunday, things got worse because she had birthday cake at my dh's aunt's house to celebrate a cousin's birthday. > My son had the cake as well. My dh and I did not eat cake and we only ate on plan foods. > Today, I managed to get some coconut oil and butter into them, but little of anything else besides water for both and tea for the older one. They both slept for hours during the day and went to sleep earlier than usual. > Just an hour ago, dd vomited. I put her in an epsom salt bath and then applied some essential oils to her feet. This is the first time she has ever vomited in her 8 years of life. She was very scared. > Is there anything else I can do for her? If ds follows (and he had no appetite today so I am imagine he might have it tomorrow), I am worried, he is only 3 years old and he could get dehydrated easily. > +++Hi , Fats are not taken alone by mouth as a treatment, except by the teaspoon to help curb cravings. Getting fats up to a high level is helpful for constipation but it doesn't cure it either. Fats work with many other nutrients, like other foods and the supplements do, so they are taken with meals containing meats or eggs. They are added in some recipes like Bee's Egg Drink too, or melted over foods after they are cooked, or added to soup, stew, etc. If you gave them lots of fats and they were not used to taking that much it will cause more healing and detoxifying reactions, so I think that is what caused your daughter to vomit. First, do not give anyone extra fats alone, except as noted above. Also they need nutrients when they are sick so water and tea aren't enough. Instead give them Bee's Egg Drink or Mineral-Rich Bone Broths - search on my website for the recipes. Would you describe your children's symptoms when you write they are " feeling bad " and then I can advise you. Bee

They both slept for hours during the day and went to sleep earlier than usual. Well, they are used to high good fats but I wanted them to get a little more. What I meant when I said I gave them lots of coconut oil and butter is that I made a recipe for coconut pancakes that calls for eggs and coconut oil and butter, baking powder, and some shredded coconut to hold it together into a pancake. That's all they ate yesterday. They are sleepy, tired, and not playing as much as they usually do. My daughter usually sings all day and draws and has not done either since Saturday. She won't have the egg drink. My son likes the egg drink so I will make that for him in the morning for breakfast. They both have very little appetite, also unusual. They are turning down everything I try to offer them. They love eggs and on Sunday, I made a crustless quiche with eggs, butter, meat. They love this meal and neither of them will eat it so dh ate it last night. I'm trying to make sure they drink water and dd has had 2 cups of tea today and 1 cup of water. Ds is not wanting to drink much and has only had about 2 cups of water today. Should I give extra vitamin C? Another epsom salt bath?? Thanks Bee. I can't believe I forgot about the egg drink. Another epsom salt bath?? +++, it is normal to have low energy, not be happy as usual, have less appetite, and to feel tired when a person is detoxifying, but that doesn't mean you " must " treat it. So I do not advise any special treatments. They are healing and detoxifying like they should, which is a good thing. Such feelings and symptoms will come and go, so do not be concerned Mom. You could do things so you are a less anxious mom, like take an epsom salt bath. : ) All the best, Bee
