Dear Bee,

Just wanted to fill you in on the great news.

In January blood work showed that my thyroid function was very low (5), my

cholesterol was high, and I had low vitamin D.

Because I had just started your diet a month before the blood work & had good

results so quickly, I asked my doctor if we could try diet & exercise before

starting on the hormones, which I did.

A few weeks back, I started to get a little concerned, because thyroid problems

run in my family and I was afraid to let this go too long without treatment.

So, I went back to my doctor for followup blood work. I assumed it was going to

be the same, maybe a little bit better. But I am delighted to report that my

thyroid is now functioning normally (3.5) and the cholesterol is improving also.

I never talked with my doctor, but her nurse said I should continue doing what

I've been doing! I am really amazed! After 5 months on your diet, I have begun

to see some of the thyroid issues (dry skin, exhaustion) get better. (It has

taken a while.) So, perhaps this was just postpartum hypothyroidism, I don't

know for sure. But my body is finding balance, and now the blood work is

confirming that.

I have 3 years to go, and I am so curious to see what's going to happen next!

Also, I see that someone else in the group is scheduled to have impacted wisdom

teeth removed. Me too. What did you advise regarding sedation & antibiotics?

I am going to have local sedation for just one tooth. My husband thinks I am

wrong to not want the antibiotics. What should I do?

Thanks for this wonderful source of information!

Blessings,

Debbie
