Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > Is this too long? If so, just skip to the 2nd paragraph where my question is. I also thought it might help someone who's gotten away from the diet and needs help in recommitting. > After a year of being on your diet, I got away from it and returned to my old eating patterns at night although I always had the full egg drink in the morning and my lunch was meat, fats, and acceptable veggies with most of the supplements. Whenever I would try to return to your diet, I would get such intense cravings that I could never get past giving up all of the starchy carbohydrates...basically, snack foods. Then I started to retain water or bloat no matter what I ate. That scared me and I've recommitted to getting back to your diet, completely. > Can you tell me how long I should be at each step of eliminating the various categories of bad foods before I give them up completely? Specifically, I've given up the sugar, dairy, alcohol, and non-foods (snacks/junk foods) in the space of 3 weeks. My fats and meats are up there. At the moment I am not doing any of the coconut oil... it contributes to severe brain fog and bloating. When do I give up the brown rice or potatoes or squash? Btw, I am still bloating when I do a lighter version of the egg drink with just butter and 2 eggs and cinnamon or have a healthy soup with just acceptable vegetables and good fats. +++Hi Ginnie, You should be following the instructions for changing over to this program in Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php In that article it advises you to write down your own plan as to how you will get completely on my program. It also suggests keeping a Journal, as well as a Diary. Also remember that all of the disease processes are exactly the same as healing and detoxifying processes created by the body itself in an effort to maintain its health, in spite of poor nutrition, toxins, etc. As Taubes writes in his book Good Calories, Bad Calories, p. 142: " . . .the fundamental feature of all living organisms is the interdependence of the parts of the body to the whole . . . " " . . .all physiological systems [body processes] have to work together to assure survival. " " . . all of the vital mechanisms [processes], however varied they may be, have only one object, that of preserving constant the conditions of life in the internal environment. " However, the medical industry labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate dis-eases, illnesses, symptoms, syndromes, etc. which are actually normal body reactions and processes. In other words, they are simply " signs " the body is attempting to restore its own balance. As Florence Nightengale, the famous nurse, says: " There are no specific diseases; there are [only] specific disease conditions. " People on this healthy program are giving their bodies what they need to become healthy, so they are now able to progress towards health rather than become more and more unhealthy, or dis-eased. Such healing will also include " retracing " all past illnesses, symptoms, diseases, syndromes, organ malfunctions, etc. as explained in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php You cannot avoid those reactions and symptoms, and sometimes you just have to " bite the bullet " and get through such symptoms and reactions if they aren't severely interfering with your functioning. All the best, Bee
