+++ This is what I have been following, Bee, and it states:

" Chicken: Reduce heat and simmer covered for 6 to 24 hours. "

That is why I was surprised to read your post stating broth had to simmer for 12

hrs. I've been using the 6 hrs after the chicken was cooked and the meat

removed...

+++Oh, I did not realize that was your question. It was my mistake, but if you

simmer it longer it does help pull out more minerals. I always simmer chicken

bones 12 hours.
