Are lemons in this recipe to help with electrolytes or is it just for

flavouring? If it's for flavour, then I can use less lemon or none. If it

helps with electrolyte balance then I'll be sure to keep it in there.

Thanks

Hi April,

Taking the electrolyte drink is not necessary. You can skip if you want. A lot

of people use it as an easier way to take the salt, but if you don't feel you

can tolerate the lemon, you don't have to drink it.

Coconut water works great for us! It has tons of potassium. We all drank it during a stomach virus and almost immediately felt rehydrated and had more energy. Just be sure you are getting 100% Coconut Water. Today it is only when she eats or drinks anything. Maybe the Rotavirus?? Anyways, I am hoping to get an electrolyte drink into her at some point. Does anyone have a homemade recipe for one? Thanks

I wouldn't jump to rotavirus. Kids do throw up and for many reasons. I wouldn't feed her any solid food for at least 24 hours after the vomiting stops. We usually just give ginger ale or water. Hope she's feeling better today!

Thanks a lot everyone. I gave her coconut oil last night before bed and she slept the night without throwing, up but I never even thought of the water. I have a couple coconuts here I will drain the water and give it to her. Hope it works. Thanks again!
