Bee - Your article on Adrenal Malfunction

<http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat1.php> quotes Cowan

in his book " The Fourfold Path to Healing " . I don't see any more of his work

quoted in your articles.

Since I've got the 21-yo son who has just gotten home from a 7-month mission

outreach in Germany now suffering from a " cold " (and wanting to go to the doctor

to get antibiotics...), I've been searching for ways to help him.

He left here obese and addicted to carbs (I'd only been on your pgm for about

4-5 months by the time he left so I'd not made all the changes that have now

been implemented in our home diet). He consisted mostly on carbs while away

with little meat and no knowledge of the 'spread' he consumed being butter or

margarine. He told me he had perhaps two eggs while away.

I started pumping good food in him the moment he got home (2 eggs/day). His

symptoms became horrendous (green snot, lots of mucous, coughing, etc.) and I

sought a way to ease the symptoms while continuing to allow him to heal and to

keep him off drugs.

Now reading the chapter in Cowan's book on " infectious diseases " , he

suggests stopping foods high in sulphur (garlic, eggs) and meat, and going on a

liquid diet (which you had suggested), which makes a lot of sense to me. My

main concern with not eating eggs or meat is that there is nothing left to eat

but veggies and grains, which is what he recommends.

My question to you is: what do you think of stopping having eggs/meat for such a

person as my son who has not been on your pgm but slowly transitioning them

over? Perhaps his bad symptoms are because I pushed him too quickly to get back

on good food.....

Thanks
