Healing a bad cut(OT)

I cut a good piece of my thumb with a serrated kitchen knife. Any treatments i

should avoid. Any recommendations on what to do? I have it wrapped with gauze

for now and taped. I cleaned it with water. The cut is about 3 layers deep.
