Do almonds feed Candida?

I've begun to realize that all the foods that I want to overeat once I start on

them must feed Candida, and my desire to binge on them is because they're just

fueling the yeast's growth; do you agree? A previous Candida Diet I was on

allowed some nuts, so I ate raw almonds ALL the time...but I could never stop at

a 100 calorie serving, and would end up grabbing handful after handful (while in

an absolute daze!). So, I look at the info on your site to see that no nuts are

allowed, and it piqued my interest. I saw the issue with nuts and phylates, but

in addition to that, do they also feed Candida (and not just the obvious moldy

peanuts/pistachios)? Thank you for your time and your ALWAYS valuable answers.

+++Hi Amy. Yes I agree with your statement above.

Nuts are carbs and all carbs feed candida, however it is impractical to

eliminate ALL carbs and it isn't necessary in order to get healthy.

Nuts are very hard for Humans to digest, even after removing phytates, etc. by

soaking them. Soaking alone does not break down the cell walls (fibers) in

them. In order to make them more fit to eat you'd need to cook them long enough

or ferment them to break down the fibers. Most people wouldn't like fermented

nuts. So even healthy people should not eat very many of them.
