Guest guest
---Ah ha......when I have reflux symptoms, the antacids do takr it away....however, during these " attacks " , the antacids may as well be a roast beef sandwich....no help at all. See, that's what got me questioning this whole hiatal hernia thing to begin with. And when my brother told me it sounded just like his GB attacks, I started snooping around. Next attack landed me in the hospital and the nurse practitioner told me it was " most likely " galbladder disease. No further tests were done though since I'm uninsured. (That's what I'm waiting on now...insurance!! :0) Thanks again! Mine was all a pain under my rib and in my back and would move from side to side. No burning, no reflux. However, it was/is (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)or GERD. It oftentimes acts just like a heart attack and can last for 5 or 6 hours. Mine was diagnosed with an upper GI. One way to find out is - next time it happens take some anti acid and see if it calms down. If it does, your on track. If it doesn't, you need to get some professional help to track it down. > > Jay > >
