Dear :

I remember you asking several other questions about strange symptoms in the

past.

Everyone's body is unique, but yours seems very sensitive. I urge you to

invest your time, energy and assets to consult a bona-fide medical professional

--

a naturopath or a chiro who specializes in nutritional healing or a Chinese

Medicine specialist are three who come to mind rather than trying to cobble

together advice from message boards no matter how well intentioned we all are

when we offer it.

Your situation somehow reminds me of the comments I expressed earlier about

our cultural " Impatience " gene. I know its much easier to send notes to

e-groups asking for advice than doing the homework to locate a practitioner,

then

making the commitment to consult with them and follow their advice. But you will

be better served in the long run.

It is one thing for someone to ask and be answered about the relative merits

of olive oil versus flax seed oil, or how much Epsom salts is really

necessary; or the little tips on successful flushing; or the book discussions or

the

generalities of honing a life-long personal health plan where everyone can share

their experience on what has worked for them and what has not.

You are asking very specific questions unique to your own physiology. You

need your own practitioner whose only focus is you and your health and then you

will have someone who understands your ENTIRE health picture and can give you

personalized advice. That person would be the appropriate source for answers to

your questions.

You have reported 30 years of dealing with serious health issues. I think for

your safety and certainly for your mental well-being you might think long and

hard about considering this bit of unsolicited advice and getting help you

can totally rely on from someone you selected and whose credentials you know.

Good luck to you, (Atlanta) the other

So what did your Naturopath say? And what did your Naturopath suggest you do?

HI ,

I think maybe you misunderstand my situation.

I have actually done what you suggest. It is only after trying this

route, since 1999 I might add, that I have realized I will not get the

help I need. I am asking others on the chance that someone somewhere

somehow might be able to help.

Again, I'm not being impatient, I am actually very patient. I'm not

writing to the board b/c it's easier, I'm just seeing if anyone can help

with the particular question I asked which was why burping after dry

skin brushing and abdominal massage and at no other time. Do you

assume I have not been to an N.D. because I have not posted that I have

? I'm just not sure why you think I'm relying on a board to the

exclusion of other medical advice.

I do appreciate you taking the time to write and obviously you are

concerned to take the time to do so but please be assured I am patient

and not relying on a message board, just merely using it as another

tool, that's all.

Do you understand ?

It's not helpful to describe what my naturopath said to do because she

wasn't able to help me, not was my alternative M.D. that I've been

seeing since fall of 1999.

I have something to add about strange symptoms and it being related to

gas.

I also am referring to the kind where you incessantly burp, not small

ladylike

burps but the involuntary and deep ones.

My gramma has had problems of this sort for years. She gets gas so badly

that

it is very uncomfortable, and of course embarrassing if you are in

public, we in the family

just have gotten used to Gramma's burps.

Here is her strange symptoms, she says if she has gas much worse than

usual, the left

side of her body goes numb! mostly in her legs.......She is a regular at

the chiropractor's office, and

faithfully goes all the time for maintenance, and she ran this by him and

also her MD which

I do not like but anyway, they have no idea why gas would cause numbness

in her legs.

Now get this one, if she drinks milk she says it helps her......... we

all think it sounds funny

and can't fathom why milk would help numbness in her legs which is caused

by gas.

I just wanted to let you know, there may be others out there

experiencing

strange symptoms, and you are not alone.

Best to you, Dee

Dee,

That's very interesting. I wonder if the gas is irritating her nerves.

I know some gases are neurotoxic. And the milk could be coating the

intestines maybe and not allowing the gas to get through the intestines.

Thanks for sharing this, it gives credit to my thought that gas is

absorbed.
