Hello Jannberger, >>>I am allergic to sulfates, so can't take the epsom salts.<<< Only a fleeting thought (and I may be off track, so someone please pipe in, if so), but would you be able to substitute Epsoms with a product like Oxy-powder, Homozone, Colozone, etc? All these products help to cleanse the colon and bowel, before and after a flush. I'm not 100% sure of the components of Homozone or Colozone, because I use Oxy-powder, which is basically just ozonated magnesium, citrate and germanium 132. Some people find these products are too expensive to use, but I quite like the controllability of the capsule form and, personally, feel it's worth spending the money, as a gentle substitute for a professional colonic (the wuss in me!), as well as gaining benefit from the germanium 132 supplement. Maybe a more veteran flusher who has used one of these products can better fill you in with this - the idea being to keep the bowel movements swift and loose during a flush to rid you of all the toxins being released. I am really not sure, however, if any of these products would still have the same dilating effect on the bile ducts. Perhaps not, which may be a reason to ensure you make every effort to soften/dissolve stones beforehand (apple juice, or malic acid, super-phos 30, etc), if you are doing flushes without Epsoms. >>>Does the quality of olive oil make a difference? <<< Quality of olive oil is important - extra virgin, first cold-pressed, organic, if at all possible. This is the only oil I use, now, for flushing and preparing food, but others in the group have used other types of oils successfully and may be able to fill you in on that. >>>How does one collect stones so one can see how it is going?<<< Use a collander that fits onto your toilet bowl, if you want to collect/count your stones. It's suggested you rinse the bowel movements in the collander over the toilet with a sprayer, afterwards. I found that I was so cleaned out from the Oxy-powder, Epsoms and fasting, that all I passed were the stones, so you don't have to " pan for gold " . Sounds like you started with the slow flush and ended with a regular flush? Maybe more palatable would be to try eating an avocado each day with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing (as much of the dressing as you like!). I've had spontaneous mini-flushes doing this on a regular basis for lunch each day (in combo with a daily regimen of Oxy-powder of 2 or 3 caps). The healthy fat in the avocado gets the gall bladder contracting and, combined with the olive oil and ascetic acid in the vinegar, it seems to simulate a mini-flush for me. All the best to you! Blessings, n
Guest guest
Jann, you said you were allergic to " sulfates " , did you mean " sulfites " ? Sulfites are clearing agents used in red wines and other foodstuffs. Many people are allergic to them and the substance is probably not good for anyone. I react to it just like MSG. I get red in the face, somewhat dizzy and spacy and then have a headache the next day. There are much better and non-allergenic clearing agents that are used in many of the organic wines. I've never heard of an allergy to sulfates, such as the Magnesium Sulfate in Epsom Salts. If you are in doubt, get muscle tested for it.
