Guest guest
Well, nothing will be " official " till I call and start bugging my doctor for the " results " in a few days (as my appointment with him isn't till later in May) However, the ultrasound tech, understood that I knew my stuff and kind of " encouraged " what I said I was seeing during the scan. I asked " What will my gallbladder look like? " She said " A dark blob " I asked " What would gallstones look like. " She said " They'd most likely show up white, although some cannot be seen " When we got to that area I asked her if she saw any gallstones and she said she couldn't say. So I asked if she'd point out my gallbladder on the screen. She did.....and I saw this dark blob...with a BIG cluster of various sized white areas. I said " That doesn't look ALL black....there's alot of white in there. " She looked at me winked and said " I wish I could tell you more, but you'll have to wait for your doctor to call you about our report " ...another wink. All the way back to the waiting area, we talked gallbladder surgery, stone size. etc. She was saying it was a good idea I didn't flush right away since it looked like some were very sizeable....then she gasped, covered her nouth and said " You didn't hear anything, did you? " Thank God for medical professionsal with guts to bend the rules a tad. Now.....I have that darn endoscopy to deal with May 6th....oh joy......I'm still scared to death. But I know that most, if not all of my pain has been from these stones. Now, where do I go from here.....something to ponder till the go and ram that camera down my throat. Nothing against the natural therapies and treatments expressed here.....but looking at the size of those stones and that there was little gallbladder showing at all.....I'm afraid having the darn thing removed might be best. Any thought? Thanks again, my gallbladder buddies....you have all been such a tremendous help! Edie
