Epsom salts is for two reasons -- colon cleansing and pain control by relaxing the bile ducts that spasm if impeded. Try a good laxative -- prunes will do, but enough to get you pooping 3-4 times a day until you are good and cleaned out. If you poop too much or feel tired and draggy take a mineral supplement to perk you up. Someone else around here will be able to figure out an alternative to the duct relaxing -- maybe just a bigger dose of magnesium 1-2 times a day. Sixty-nine is not too old to flush. Just be reasonable -- as you should also be at 29 or 19 for that matter. Best wishes, (Atlanta, heading for 44 degrees on Sat am.)
Guest guest
Dear Jann Sorry to hear you are having problems. Yipes. When this is all over, you really need to get on a DISSOLVING PROGRAM so you don't end up like this again. I may be naive but I think it's relatively simple to keep the bile flowing and the stones minimal. You will also need to figure out what's wrong with your diet or lifestyle that's causing you to be ill. I'm also wondering if you really do have stone obstruction or some other type of obstruction, like, for instance, a spasm of one of the many spincters. I'm thinking (unless you know otherwise) that the latter is more likely. You did say " I'm fearful " several times and emotions really do clamp these muscles down tightly. I can't remember if you said whether or not you had an ultrasound this go-round, they don't always show anything, but one could be helpful right now and it is basically non-invasive, non-painful and non-toxic. Try to keep their paws off of you with all their invasive technology. Scary!! In the meantime, I have a couple of suggestions: 1) I've never heard of a sensitivity to sulfates (Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate). Do you mean you have a " sulfite " sensitivity? I think I'd go ahead and take a blast of Epsom Salts anyway, what's worse? 2) Get out your heating pad RIGHT NOW and put a huge cloth soaked in CASTOR OIL over your liver and give yourself a 30-45 minute treatment 3-4 times a day. Practice breathing slowly and deeply while you do it. 3) Drink plenty of WATER day and night. This will help flush the toxins. Take enzymes and get on some good liver cleansing and healing herbs. 4) As an alternative to #1 above, perhaps you can use an HERBAL FLUSH. There are many types of herbs that cause the spinctors to open wide and allow passage of bile, slush and any stones that may be present. I've used FRINGE BARK as just one of many. There are several commercial and home-made herbal combinations that work even better. Check with any professional herbalist to match one up with your body. 5) If it were me, I'd fast for several days now and chug the raw apple juice as it has been said to soften and dissolve stones (seemed to work for me). You could also take MALIC ACID if you can't handle all the sugar. Stay on this for a long time too. I'd continue the apple juice for at least a month after you are done with the crisis. 6) Walk, walk, walk. Take a long hike right now and several times a day. It moves everything. 7) Breathing. You need to get some healthy breathing patterns going to breath those fear patterns out of you. If you haven't taken RESCUE REMEDY, go get some RIGHT NOW and take a drop or two every hour for a while. It will help everything. Keep reaching out, it never hurts to PRAY either! Guest guest
Hi Jann, Maybe take your magnesium over a couple of hours before you try flushing. And make sure that your are virtually eating fat free foods before each flush or the effects are not as beneficial. I have heard that it is the magnesium that relaxes bile ducts and I use magnesium (magnesium hydroxide) elemental and malic acid caplets. I start several hours a head and take a couple of caplets every hour so that they have time to dissolve. I have done 4 flushes using these tablets instead of epsom salts and have never felt any pain but the stones that have past were the soft cholesterol stones not calcified. They were not any bigger than about 1/2 an inch in size. I can not tell you for sure that it was the caplets that made it pain free but it felt the same as when epsom salts were used. ( like I said there was no pain) . I have passed stones on my own with no flushing and there was incredible pain associated with those experiences. I also have used oxy powder (magnesium bound to ozone) with these caplets once or twice and it worked great these times as well. I was just making sure that different forms of magnesium was in the body in case different forms worked differently. Any of these forms of magnesium also work to give you a loose the stool which will help remove the stones faster. It also helped with the fact that I was doing the Master cleanse at the time and was already cleaned out and the salt water in the later morning helped to wash the stones out. I felt so good incorporating the Master cleanse with my liver flushes as both help with the detox of the other flush. With the routine I was on this summer I lost a over 30 lbs and felt so much better. The upper right chest, arm and back pain has almost disappeared and the chronic diarrhea disappeared, as well. Before I started with my first flush this summer my stool was almost white. I knew a stone was in the bile duct as I have no gall bladder as well it was been gone for 7 years. Before the gallbladder was out I was in emergency getting my demoral and gravol shot every 3-6 weeks. I am not one for taking things very slow and have done the hulda clark type flush always with great success. G Murray. Jann Berger wrote: >Hello.
