Is there a way for the group moderator to reduce the number of lines in the

signature line of each message? Including the lines that groups adds,

there are about 30 lines of links and messages, and even several lines

mentioning either how to subscribe or unsubscribe.

I support the call to members to snip messages, leaving only portions

to aid continuity of the thread. However, I am pessimistic that this

will solve the problem of having to scroll thro' piles of old messages

as the same call had been made at numerous other groups, but there are

still people who click on the send button without bothering to snip.

It will be interesting to see if this call make any difference with

this group.

No thanks! I use most of those links all the time. It would be good to be able

to ditch the lines I agree but unfortunately that's the price you pay for

having a free group.

As for the others it's just a pity more posters don't read them, it would save

an awful lot of unnecessary posting.
