Guest guest
Kidney stones are real stones. They hurt when they pass(even if they're less than 6mm), unless they're small enough that they pass without a problem. When they're not small enough, you'll definitely know it. Passing a kidney stone has been compared to childbirth in terms of pain. In my personal experience, kidney stones can stay in your kidneys for at least a month, and can be caused by dehydration(but my doctor said that it's really uncertain why some people get stones and others don't). The lab report said mine were made of calcium carbonate. Some foods that are high in calcium carbonate include spinach and beets, and quite a few other things. So I've been cutting back on those and drinking more water! J Gagne <jbg@...> wrote: , Apparently all they saw in the ultrasound was a small kidney stone and an enlarged gall bladder, which the doctor said was a symptom of gall stones. He didn't even suggest a treatment for the kidney stone. He immediately began talking about removing my gall bladder. When I asked about other treatment for the gallstones, he said there was no point trying to dissolve the gall stones, because they would just come back. He suggested I should book the appointment immediately when I told him I was going to do some research on the internet. Luckily Dr. Saul Pressman from the ozonetherapy list suggested I do a liver cleanse as soon as possible. I did and felt immediate improvement from the discomfort under the right rib cage. I have now done 4 flushes and I think the next one should just about take care of the last bit of discomfort from the gall bladder. I assume the kidney stone is gone due to the Cianca Piedra and increased water intake but I won't know for sure until the next ultrasound. I have noticed that I can handle the cold much better and don't get that immediate chilled to the bone shivering that I used to experience every time I walk out into the Canadian winter air. I think women can pass a small kidney stone without noticing, but I don't know for sure. I definitely haven't noticed. I don't have a lot of faith in some of my doctor's recommended treatments, but he is useful in providing the diagnosis, at least. A couple of years ago when I went to him about my constipation he told me that no BM's for two or three days on a regular basis was not necessarily a sign of any problem and that if I WANTED more frequent BM's I should just eat more fibre. DUH!! Is any one happy with bi-weekly BM's? Jeanne Date: Tue, 7 Dec 2004 14:49:34 -0800 (PST) From: O'Leary <paul_oleary@...> Subject: Re: Re:Have any of you ever had kidney stones? Well I guess there's two of us then. I was told by the doc to drink more water and that would reduce the risk of future kidney stones. Did your doctor recommend anything for them? Have you passed your kidney stone yet? What's an enlarged gallbladder? Have your gallstones shown up on xrays/ultrasounds? They spotted my gallstones when they were checking for kidney stones. Luckily I have no more in my kidney. Those things sure look tiny when they finally pass, but they can be quite painful to pass! I've taken both to a lab, where they confirmed the obvious. I am progressively succeeding with flushes over the period of a year now and also have been taking cianca piedra herb in capsule form which is documented to slowly dissolve kidney, liver and gall stones. I believe it has done a lot to help with my condition. I will wait until my gall bladder is back to functioning properly before I will bother with another ultra sound but when I do I will post here about the results of the kidney stone as well as the gall bladder..might be six months though. Maybe you haven't been eating enough spinach and beets? Blessings Mama
