I am not sure what 's CN stands for, but I do know Nature's Sunshine, the multi-level marketing vitamin/herbal sales company, offers a training in nutrition (mostly about their products) which then allows their sales people to use the initials CN (certified nutritionist, I think). The in-depth nutritional designation (state regulated and college educated, usually) is RD/LD (registered dietician/licensed dietician). I do not know how the nurses you are referring to are trained but I do know right now many nurses down here are coming in trained as paramedics or EMT's (upper level), higher level of training RN (registered nurses), higher even PAs (Physicians assistants [they can write scripts in many states] ). My nephew is a paramedic. It is amazing the training he had to go through to even ride in the ambulance (9 months in class and a state board exam even though he was already a wilderness first responder and a first responder that takes another exam). He then had an additional 18 months of 40 hours a week of in-class and on-site training and a proficiency exam to be a paramedic.
Guest guest
Just curious, what does CN mean? Certified nutriontionist? Certified naturaopath? I am also curious about the letter designations after the names of the nurse practioners in our local medical clinic, as they are not all the same. Thanks. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Another small note, only those who have complete the AHSU program are legally able to use the CN designation, so if you see that designation after a persons name, that's the study program the person took. (I have never taken NSP's study program, but do use their and other herbal supplements.) ===== L.
