Your story sounded a LOT like mine. My son was so incredibly bright at age 2...

then he just slowly started to slip away. By 3 1/2 we were just dumbfounded as

to what was going on with him. A few months later we began to see the seizures.

is now on his 6th med. Nothing else has worked. Not the VNS, the diet or

any other combo of meds.

4 months ago we started taking him to a naturopath to hopefully get his body

healthy again. He's on about 12 supplements a day. As recent as 2 months ago,

his epileptologist scheduled a hospital stay to begin testing for surgery

options. 6 weeks ago was when we added the 12th supplement. He woke up the very

next day returned to us. Previously he wasn't going 10 seconds without having

some type of seizure activity. Oct 23rd, instead of having presurgery testing,

he had a routine EEG. It was normal. Competely normal.

is still on felbatol. I do believe it's helping, but I also believe that

the supplements we're giving him have gotten his body healthy and are now

allowing the meds to work. currently receives OT, speech and music

therapy through the school system. He's making strides at recovering every

single day. But, he's still functioning as if he were 3 or so. I have faith that

he will fully recover though.

Keep up your fight for your son. Miracles do happen.

Best of luck to you,
