Guest guest
Well, it's a little late in the day, I wish I'd read your post earlier. Please, don't do any of the following if you have special diet restrictions or other health problems because I don't have a clue what you should be doing if you have heart trouble or liver trouble or diabetes. I'm purely basing this on what I would do in my current state of health. What you could do is take a dose of epsom salts now, and another one just before going to bed. I would also take about 4,000mg of Vitamin C, but that's just me, because I believe that the vitamin C helps start the process of breaking up the pack of stones in the gall- bladder. I have magnesium tablets on hand, so I would take about two of them just before bed as well, but the epsom salts will do about the same thing while they are cleaning out the bowels. Then tomorrow, as soon as you get up, and after visiting the the rest room, take another dose of epsom salts. Then drink plenty of water and go to the kitchen to prepare your lemon juice and olive oil doses -- or whatever you use when you cleanse. About an hour after rising -- if you had to go to the store to gather the cleanse ingredients you could probably have some apple juice or other clear liquids to keep your blood sugar up before you cleanse -- you should start your cleanse. I use olive oil and lemon juice in about 6 doses over 2 or 3 hours, but use whatever you are used to taking. I also stay in bed, lying on my right side, for the six hours the cleanse calls for, so that the oil and the lemon juice can do their work on the gall bladder. You will spend most of Thursday tied to the toilet, but you should be feeling pretty normal by Friday morning. If you just want to feel better and don't need to have a pretty collection of gall stones you could start eating lightly again after about 8 hours. This will ruin any last minute errands you needed to be running, and interfere with work and packing, but it's better than staying home from your trip or rushing to the ER wherever you go suffering from a gall-bladder flare up. Hope there's something in all of that which helps you work out your own cleanse. I know it springs for a genuine concern for our health. Personally, coming from a very rural agricultural region of the USA, I don't have any great fear of genetically modified crops or food and vitamins derived from those crops. IMHO there isn't a whole lot of difference between the food modifications that have been going on for centuries that turned roadside weeds into the vegetables we know today and genetic modification -- to my limited understanding it seems that it's just done faster in a more sterile laboratory than 16th century monks had access to. Now, that's just MY opinion, and I haven't studied up on this a whole lot. In my life I'm struggling along trying to take the little steps I can take to improve my health and the health of my family. I'm not going to wear myself and my budget out by trying to find specialized vitamin C. I'm still trying to permanently kick white sugar out of my diet and avoid wheat and keep my kids' cats from taking over my life. We are all at different places in this group and I am convinced that you have made a lot of progress and are really working hard to obtain the best possible health for yourself. I know you are generously sharing your information and concern. I thank you for your concern, but since you have repeated this warning many times, usually in response to one of my posts, I thought perhaps I should let you know that I have heard it now.
