Guest guest
Hi All. I had my gall bladder removed after a serious attack where stones were caught in the bile duct. I was jaundiced, very sick... the whole 9 yards. I didn't want to have it removed, but the docs said a bile duct blockage could cause pancreatitis and all sorts of other things that could kill me. Afterward, I went into a severe depression and I can't shake it. I feel sick a lot and I've had many IBS like problems since the gb surgery. I think you all are wonderful for trying to keep your gbs and trying to take care of the stones naturally. I wish I had tried flushing before I was rushed to the hospital. When I mentioned it to the surgeon, he just laughed at me. I'm writing because I feel the need to reach out. I keep blaming myself because I was 25lbs. overweight, I was sedentary and I previously took birth control pills. (The docs think the bc pills had a lot to do with the stones because of the estrogen.) If there is anyone out there who has stones, but is not overweight or sedentary or on any kinds of hormones, could you please let me know? It would help me to feel like maybe I didn't cause my own stones. Sorry to be such a downer... it's just a really bad time for me right now. I need to snap out of this depression and stop beating myself up. Once again... bless you all for the support and great advice you give. I refer so many people to this site for help. I wish you all the best of health and happiness. Randi
