Guest guest
Hi Tina just read your email about your white fingernails. Nails that are usually white signify that the patient suffers from enemia. A person who has nails that are waxy in appearance to having white color to them may have other problems are well. This appearance, along with nails that are opaque, and are lacking in luster, may indicate that the person suffers from ulcers, emorrhaging or hookworms. some patients may have a white color on part of their nails but not the entire area of the nails. This condition can indicate other disorders. Nails that are white throughout most of the area except for the tips signify that the person may suffer from liver cirrhosis. If the nails are not exactly white but are more of a cloudy, opaque color, then this should be indicative of a heart or lung problem. Further indication of this would be if the nails appear to be clubbing, in which the end of the nail is raised, then once past the flesh curves down on the fingertips. hope this helps judy
