I have to post this as I am very excited. We have started giving our 2

boys fresh celery, carrot and apple juice every morning- my older

son's absence seizure had dropped DRAMATICALLY (from 15-20 down to

5-7- and still going down), and my younger son's tics have gone away.

Through my research, I have found that celery has something called

3-n-butyl phthalide, which has some research showing it has

anti-convulsant properties. I also found some info that claimed it is

actually a calcium-channel blocker, which apparently is one of the

theories regarding the mode of action with ethosuximide . Anyway,

this could all be erroneous info (we novices are dangerous with the

internet these days!!!) but I thought I would share it with you as it

appears to be really beneficial with both my boys.
