My son is 16 and his seizures started at 13. He has never been on meds and

we have managed them through diet, detox, supplementing his adrenal and

thyroid, and everything else under the sun. He went to two different

chiropractors that thought that they could help and they did to a degree. Austin

was

tired and weak most of the time and couldn't seem to hold up his growing frame.

Finally, we found a neurological chiropractor that has been nothing less

then amazing. When she first heard that we were coming in she thought that she

couldn't help us, because she thought that he had epilepsy for 16 years. We

only see her every three week and she thinks that he will be seizure free in

a few months. Austin is now full of energy and able to do his school work

quickly. He does eye exercises on the computer every two hour and that's

basically it, but it is strengthening his brain. Who would have ever thought

that

so little could do so much.

My doctor is Dr. at _www.shastafamilychiropractic.com_

(http://www.shastafamilychiropractic.com) . I would think about getting your

brother off

the meds and find him a chiropractor that specializes in neurology. After

three years of doing everything under the sun and spending lots of money, I

found help just a couple of miles away and without spending an arm and a leg.

I hope that this is helpful info to you, for I know how difficult and heart

breaking it is for the whole family.

May the Lord bless you,

Get him to a naturopathic dr. And get him off the medication by titrating him

off of them. Start researching on google all that you can regarding natural

supplementation and seizures.

I would be careful taking off the medication...definitely agree with

Rae Lynne on seeking out a naturopathic Doctor immediately though -

they should be able to help.

Completely agree that's why I stated to titrate off the meds. You should NEVER

titrate off medication, especially anti seizure meds without the supervision of

a doctor. But do insist that it be done. If you think vaccines are bad what do

you think the anti seizure medication is doing? It comes from the same people

that are behind the vaccines and has the same things in them. Get your children

off of them. Get the urine neurotransmitter testing done to see what the brain

hormones are doing and what the glutamate levels are at. They will then

recommend natural supplements to get those levels down so that the seizures

begin to slow or stop completely. Don't stop getting answers until you have an

answer for your child.

Thankyou for all the replies. I got busy.

his present case is stated below!!!!

Patient's Name ……………………. ZUBAIR

Age ………………………………………. 15 years

Zubair has epilepsy which is now complicated by other problems

including low calcium and magnesium, high blood pressure, anemia and

acute renal failure. The reports of his hospital stay are attached.

Zubair got first seizure while he was 11 years old. We took him to a

general doctor and he said its weakness and nothing else. Later we

took him to the best hospital of Karachi, Pakistan (Agha Khan

Hospital) and there they said they want to take a test called ECG for

which he will have to wake up all the night and early in the morning

the test would be done. We failed to wake him up all day. Anyways the

doctor of Agha Khan Hospital didn't give any medicine for epilepsy

nor did they say he has epilepsy. We didn't take it seriously and

thought it's a weakness. When he got another seizure we couldn't do

anything as the doctors said they can't do anything nor give

medicines until ECG test is performed. Someone advised us to see a

neurologist and we took him their. There for the first time they said

he has epilepsy and it would be cured after 3 to 5 years of medical

treatment. The name of the hospital is Rabia moon memorial

neurological hospital. It's a small hospital. They took his ECG too.

They gave us EPIVAL syrup which was continued for the next three

years. His seizures were controlled but not completely. Sometimes his

one dose misses as well which according to the doctor is not good as

the treatment requires accurate supply of medicine to the body. We

were not satisfied with the doctor and changed a lot of doctors as

the seizures were not being controlled.

Sometimes when he get seizures they are so strong and coming

simultaneously that we have to immediately take him to the hospital

where the doctor gives him sleeping injection to stop the seizures.

And later we bring him back home. He was two to three times admitted

in ICU too but due to his very angry behavior and him wanting to go

home makes his ICU treatment incomplete and he comes home. But in

November 2007 when he was in in a seizure and in emergency room, a

doctor named Dr. Naila Shebaz came to see him which later became his

doctor. She gave him epival Tablets 500 mg instead of epival syrup.

She even gave the same medicine Lamnet 100 mg and Bacefol Tablet with

the epilepsy medicine.

For six months that is from December 2007 till June 2008 he didn't

get one single seizure and he was doing okay. He was very slow in

school and was in the same class for three years. We have admitted

him to a school called Institue of psychology behavioral IBP which is

a school for special children and slow learners.

Anyways he got a seizure on June 2008 which made us worried as he was

doing okay. After some weeks we found one of his foot's thumb swollen

and after two to three days his one foot was swollen and later two

feet got swollen. We took him to a doctor who wants us to take his

blood test. It didn't come normal and he advised us to take his chest

X ray and other blood tests and he advised us to see a general

physician. Meanwhile he got another seizure and we took him to his

main Dr. Naila shebaz. She said more blood tests and advised to see a

general physican. When we went to the general physician, we told them

that his feet are swallon and he cannot stand up and walk. He

examined him carefully and said he should be admitted to the ICU. He

was in ICU for 14 days and then he came back home. The doctors say he

has epilepsy low calcium and magnesium and high blood pressure. They

said it's not epilepsy it's something else which they cannot figure

it out. They even wanted to take his bone marrow test which later

they didn't take it in order to trace the exact problem

Laters Dr. Naila Shebaz advised us to see this professor Khalid

Mehmood who is a doctor too. He said give him Vit. D injdection after

15 days with some other medicines. He couldn't walk for the last two

to three months but now his feet are normal after the injection and

medicine. But still he can't stand up and walk properly. He has got

so much weak that he is too skinny. he is the tallset in family

although he is the younger most child.
