What has happened to this group?

Dear all,

I am weighing in with Arnold and expressing my sadness that this

group is not what it once was. I don't want anyone to leave, but I

notice a few that once had so much to offer here are not

participating. I am afraid they have left!! Veterans that we all

need so much. I have to think it is because the overall atmosphere

has changed. In the past here so many things were tossed out there

for all to chew on, and there was no great concern about whether or

not everyone agreed. I know I appreciated any and all leads. We

just individually took in the meat and threw out the bones. Not

wanting to squelch the fountain of information. When the occasional

contentious sort of person shows up now and then we can handle it by

not responding to anything but the courteous posts. We live in

angry times - people feeling they have the right to express rage

whenever they want in whatever way they want. Let's exercize some

self-control and patience - even with those who may not reciprocate

( sp?). The goal is to be a haven of information about anything at

all that might help us or loved ones control their seizures. If we

don't criticize the ideas we think are not valuable then people will

feel free to post. Of course, I do not mean to say we shouldn't

bring up caveats, but the point is to give information and then let

people decide evlauate it for themselves. I hope all will stay and

be encouraged.

I have been a member of this group for several weeks now. I have

noticed the drastic change in postings, ever since someone posted a

reply message about Keeping Politices Out Of this Chatroom.

I think what people have forgotten is that these stressful

conversations that have been posted are more likely to CAUSE SEIZURES

to many who do not have them undre control yet. These stressful type

of seizures can lead to migrain headaches, mini strokes and full

blown strokes.

It is medically safer to try and keep the stressful non-epilepsy

ways to prevent seizures, issues to a minimum. The last thing we all

need is for posting to end up causing added medical problems like

seizure activity.

I agree with the above posting and hope many others do as well. It

will make is a much happier, safer and more medically sound place to

learn about added and new ways to help prevent excessive seizure

activity during these tough times. Supporting one another is better

than beating a dead horse.

-Well I would have to agree. I am guilty of losing my temper ,more

then once in this group over certain subjects. I am one that joined

this group to learn more on my disorder Not get in a poltical war on

different subjects. I am here to help the children and /or Parents

of the children out there. And myself. I have met some real good

friends.Learned a lot. I don't know what this group used to be like

cause I have only been apart of this for a short period of time few

month or so but I have seen a few come and go which is sad.I hope we

can all learn that different people have differnt opions and one

will say things that others don't agree with. Hope we can all learn

to get along.

folder. I retrieved this one but the two from jeannieboo1 had just links.
