Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this book, " Natural Cures They Don't

Want You To Know About " .

Quote: " The revolutionary book that talks about the reasons you are sick and

how the American Medical Association, Federal Trade Commission, the Food and

Drug Administration, and the pharmaceutical cartels are suppressing information

about natural remedies and natural cures for virtually every disease. "

I came across one of those infomercials this morning and usually flick right

through....but just happened to notice this guy, Trudeau, was talking

about using vinegar to cure acid reflux. As we were recently talking about the

benefits of vinegar, it grabbed my interest....

What he said was quite was pretty fascinating and new and I wondered if

anyone could verify this info?

Trudeau said that the usual drug treatment for acid reflux are antacids,

either over-the-counter or doctor prescribed, but that these generally accepted

remedies actually exacerbate the problem. He said that the reason we suffer from

acid reflux is not that we have an overabundance of acid in the stomach, but

that there is 'too little' acid and enzymes (that function in an acidic

environment) to break down foods. By taking an antacid, this further complicates

things, because it actually neutralizes more of the necessary stomach acid,

doing

exactly what we don't want to happen, thereby causing long-term dependency to

these drugs. His contention is that it isn't acid regurgitation that burns

the esophagus, but the gases produced by foods that aren't being properly broken

down.

The solution to this problem, he says, is the exact opposite of what we have

been duped into believing and that reflux sufferers should be 'upping' the

acid intake! He suggests a person take 1 tablespoon of vinegar the minute that

any reflux is felt and he guarantees that by increasing the acid content of the

stomach that this will immediately relieve the discomfort of reflux by

assisting the stomach to break down foods much faster.

Just found this very intriguing...could this be yet another 'secret' benefit

of good ol' vinegar? I remember hearing stories of my great-grandfather

having a cup of hot water with a tablespoon of malt vinegar every morning before

starting his day....maybe there is something in this?

Peace, n
