In the tape one of the > arguments was that if the soil is mineral depleted > than so are the vegetables. He is absolutely correct about the soils. If a soil has been depleted, left fallow for 13 years it is considered organic but still pretty much depleted. It is going to depend most on the conditioning of the soils the crops are grown on. Organic growers are quite conscious of this and the soils within the " organic " realm are getting better and better. This is why I say it is mostly common sense which we have been educated away from and need to sit back and observe from a common sense viewpoint. It is far better to get our nutrition in the form the human organism spent millions of years developing into through the divine process of evolution (assuming the soils are nutrient rich. Hence cultures that irrigate with glacial milt). If you eat a Payday bar the body does not say " uh oh, here comes a payday bar I need to make some insulin. " It Says, " Uh oh, here comes a peck of apples, I need to make a #*%! of insulin. " . Same goes for supplements; They are hard on the mucousa, liver, etc. no matter how well made. Grow organic, buy organic, eat organic. We should never have started trying to warp and control the natural process at our level of science. This is like milling out 100 plus nutrients from flour and then mandating the " enrichment " of seven of those, and then calling the job done. In terms of colloidal mineral supplements on the market, they just are not what they are cracked up to be. Many are extremely high in aluminum and/or salt, none have an appreciable amount of the trace elements, and most are way out of balance in what they contain. Are they a Higher quality of mineral bonding than lab made? Yes, but you just are not going to get what you need out of them. Mineral bonding is critically important. It has to do with the strength of the valent bonding of the mineral (positively charged) and the acid (negatively charged) portion. Strong enough to get through the stomach acids, yet weak enough to be cleaved at the " cellular " level. Citrates, malates, orotates, amino acid chelates, in the lighter minerals, the bonding in the heavier minerals becomes even more important but individually specific and too long a discussion for here. I can not recommend a particular brand; suffice to say that you need to find a lab you trust, and stick with their higher priced products (even the good labs make garbage cheap in order to compete in the marketplace). Seeing a professional that uses some type of non protocol based evaluation method is ultimately a good idea. >
Guest guest
Dave, I agree with you on the organic eating, though I don't practice it faithfully. But it is disheartening to me when I hear reports here and there that they are lowering the standard on what " organic " is. But I supposed that food is better than some. ===== L. Guest guest
That's great the twitching stopped. Mine stopped right away too after taking magnesium. I finished that bottle and have never taken it again and still don't have twitching. None if the rest of my symptoms would abate so easily .... >I want to also add that today is the first day my >eyes didn't twitch and I didn't have the pulsing thing >my muscles have been prone to lately. Yes, it is a shame but the economic interests of major players is and always has swayed the hands of government regulation. If only we had a system with our best interests at heart. Do as I say not as I do, I too don't practice it faithfully. But the most important thing is that we seek and understand, then make our own decisions right or wrong. The goal of all organic is an unattainable ideal we should strive for, and feel guiltless when we inevitably fall short. Thanks . Always, in all ways, -Dave > > > > > ===== > L.
