Hi Activists,

For many years there have been disturbing studies warning of the dangers of

electromagnetic radiation emitted from cellular telephones and wireless

technology. The wireless electronic revolution has been adopted by so many

people, despite the cautionary warnings, that the Federal Communications

Commission (FCC) has begun to take the first step towards the abandonment of

the current switched telephone network. Comments must be submitted by Monday

April 18,2011. Please see detailed instructions for comments below.

Microwave News is a very reliable website for the reporting on the

scientific and medical literature on the safety of Cellular telephone technology

and electromagnetic radiation.Their website _www.microwavenews.com_

has some good articles on increased incidence of brain cancer in the text

of articles that mysteriously come to reassuring conclusions that it is not

that serious. There is a great deal of money at stake in perpetuating the

idea that this technology is safe-or at least not that dangerous to most

people. It takes about 9 to 10 years to see the results from cell phone

exposure.

Some of the best research into the documentation underlying the history of

electronic sensitivity and the development of electronic communications is

produced by The Cellular Phone Task Force whose president Arthur

Firstenberg, who is electrically sensitive, and was forced to drop out of

medical

school due to his electrical sensitivity back in 1978.

He documented in his Newsletter " No Place To Hide " that right after the

introduction of cellular telephone service, he verified that the official

reports of the Monthly Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) of the Center for

Disease Control registered at spike in the Death Rate which lasted for from 5

to

8 weeks. I looked up these numbers and they were correct. Evidently the

very electrically sensitive died off in those first few weeks and those who

were left, ere those more adapted to this technology. But not everyone died

off immediately.

The technology has gotten ever more sophisticated and it is now hard to

avoid having to use these cellular phones. If you must use it, try to put it

on speaker phone, don't hold it near your body and don't stay on the phone

unnecessarily long. Dr.Mercola has a an earpiece that has a hollow tubing

that is supposed to prevent some of the damage.

COMMENTS:

Since the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) does not have to take

Ask that they maintain the switched telephone network since those who are

electrically sensitive cannot use cellular telephones. The Architectural &

Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (the Access Board) that

administers the American with Disabilities Act

_www.accessboard.gov/reearch/ieq/intro.cfm_

has estimated that 3% of the population is electrically sensitive, that

amounts to about 10 million people who cannot use cellular telephones and

would not have " Universal Service " .

and many of the countries in Western Europe and Israel do not allow

Cellular phones to be sold to children and many people try to exercise the

precautionary principle and avoid exposure to potentially harmful

electromagnetic radiation.

To find your representative go to _www.house.gov_ (http://www.house.gov)

enter your zip code and State to find your representative.

To find your Senators go to _www.senate.gov_ (http://www.senate.gov) pull
