Guest guest
I was recently reminded of a relatively obscure therapy using colored light for treatment of diseases and injuries. The treatment was called Spectro-Chrome, and was used in the United States from around 1921 to 1958, when the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) obtained a permanent injunction against distribution of projectors or books outside the State of New Jersey and the treatment disappeared. WARNING: At the outset, all of the information about this therapy is only educational and if you have a health condition you are urged to see a health practitioner regarding it. You have the right to accept or reject that advice. During the period above the therapy was even used by a senior surgeon at Philadelphia Women's Hospital, Dr.Kate Baldwin,MD who felt it was usually more effective than surgery and far safer. Her article on it appeared in the Atlantic Medical Journal of April 1927. The system was pioneered in the United States by Dinshah Ghadiali, an Indian mathematician based on the scientific principles of Dr.Wiliam Walliston, Dr Edwin Babbitt and others. The theory is based on the fact that different colored light on the spectrum gives off different frequencies and wave lengths. These are responsible for stimulating and or inhibiting different organs. Dinshah Ghadiali died in 1966 at the age of 93. His children formed an Educational Foundation, the Dinshah Health Society, which promotes the ideas he pioneered. Their website is _www.dinshahhealth.org_ (http://www.dinshahhealth.org) For $20.00 they offer a book, instructional DVD and a Membership in the Society. Their detailed description of the therapy and Manual is the book " Let There Be Light " which gives an outline of the therapy, the only thing needed is a flashlight that unscrews in the front and allows the placement of filter paper in front of the light source. Each application called a " tonation " of the light is shined on the areas designated in the book and should last for an hour.. According to the theory, the body is most receptive to the light rays at specific times of the day that varies each day and depends on your geographic location. The foundation supplies you with a " Variant Breath Forecast " that gives the optimal times of each day. The filters are the same as those used in theatrical productions. All of the filters are made by Rosco Laboratories, called Roscolene Filters and can be obtained from Samarco Inc. PO Box 153008 Dallas, TX 75315-3008 USA Phone 214-421-0757 I used the therapy for a heel spur about 18 years ago. I also iced the area and bandaged it, I stopped running for about 4 months. One may assume that I might have gotten better anyway. But that is a judgment each individual has to make.In any event I think it is worth a look. Guest guest
This is interesting since many people who heal with their hands say that they send different color light to the person being healed? I had that experience once. A man send me lavender light. My eyes were closed. First the activity in my brain got more intense, then with my eyes closed I could see the lavender light but had no idea that he was sending it to me. Lastly, the trembling of the brain stopped for several hours. The next day it returned. What happened? ________________________________ From: " arnoldgore@... Guest guest
Hi , That is very interesting. According to the book the spectrum color closest to lavendar is Violet, which has a property that tends to " decrease activity of the nervous system " and " decrease muscular activity, including heart muscles. " Also Indigo which is close temds to " ease suffering, lessons excitement and over activity " One of the colors to treat eepilepsy is Indigo. I imagine after a whiile it wears off, but I am not that familiar with the eherapy. arnold
