If lemon juice and olive oil saponify when mixed then why doesn't Italian salad dressing turn into soap right there on the table??? As a soap maker I think the whole saponification theory is incredibly stupid! For one thing, the saponification process removes most color -- you have to use a ton of dye to make soap have even a mild tint (unlike when you're tinting frosting)-- but these " saponified " soft stones come out the brightest green of anything I've ever seen in my toilet! I mean, I don't go around doing toilet comparisons with people, but I do know what peas look like when they come through, and they look even worse than those canned peas they used to serve in school cafeterias... so how do these " fake stones " come out so bright??? All I can say is no one here is making any money off of me buying olive oil and lemons so I trust you all a whole lot more than medical " experts " trying to finance a holiday villa in Aspen.
