Guest guest
Could someone guide me to where I can find information on using licorice & raw adrenal for adrenal support? Also St. s Wort for depression. All the books I look at suggest these items, but do not give guidelines as to how much/how often by individuals weight. Any ideas? Guest guest
I just had my son tested for heavy metals. The way I understand it...there is not a test specifically to test for MT function. The way they check the function is to measure the zinc/copper ratio in the blood. If the balance is off it can mean that the MT is not functioning properly. Elevated copper and low zinc can cause symptoms like those seen in ADHD and autism. My son has been diagnosed with mild autism. He is 2 1/2. His twin sister has global delays and delayed speech. They have been on a primer supplement for about three weeks. It includes 50mg of zinc along with B6 and Magnesium. The results have been amazing. My son is suddenly interested in playing with toys, his eye contact is almost perfect, he started taking naps again and he is starting to point and trying to communicate. My daughter who had about five words and very little understanding of language is up to about 100 words and can answer simple questions. She looked at a picture of my son last night and said his name. I almost fell over. The reason that I mention this is because I haven't seen anything on any of the discussion groups about the copper/zinc connection. My son will start additional supplements in another week. He will be on that program for two months. The supplements will help restore his copper/zinc balance and help with some malabsorption problems. After the initial two months he will go on the MT promoter. From what I understand, this will chelate all the heavy metals from his body... copper, lead, mercury...etc. We are receiving treatment from the HRI Pfeiffer treatment center in Napperville, IL. Good Luck! Dana Tucker [ ] Supplement questions Hi Group! As a result of some past messages from others, I am exploring the biomedical approach to my son's apraxia, in addition to the therapy he already receives. For example, he is already on Pro-EFA (which we love) and I am ordering the Pro-EPA, but through my research, I came across other supplements, like DMG and TMG. Has anyone used these 2 supplements to help speech? Also, I understand that mercury can play a role in speech/language delays that are not exclusive to autistic spectrum disorders, as well as other neurological disorders, like ADHD. Further, I read that most mercury " poisoning " occurs in our children when the MT protein is not present in our children, which is used to stabilize the metals going in and out of their bodies. Is there anyway to know if our kids have this MT protein in their system? OK, I know that I may not have all the facts stated correctly above, I am just beginning this avenue, but if anyone has answers to these questions, I would appreciate any help before I proceed. Thanks. Kim

Guest guest
Check out the website at www.hriptc.org I don't know where you live, but they are in Napperville, IL. The full evaluation was $900, not covered by my insurance...but worth every penney. The full supplement program we are about to start will cost about $100 per month. It is custom designed for each person to work with their body based on what vitamins and minerals they need. Please contact me again if you need more info. Good luck!!! Guest guest
Hi everybody, Does anybody know where similar tests can be done in Connecticut. I would like to test my 3 1/2 son too. He has been diagnosed a year ago with mild autism. Is this cover by insurance by any chance? Thank you in advance for any information Luana [ ] Supplement questions Hi Group! Guest guest
sure. I am networking with another mother who is working with them also. She has started the MT promoter with her son and is having great success. I will be more than happy to share what I know. It helps to know you are not in this alone. Good luck to you in your quest! ALA tends to decrease the excretion of copper. So it is a trade off--- waiting a while on the mercury chelation with ALA in order to get the toxic copper levels down more quickly. So, yes, you want to get the copper level reduced some before adding ALA. Moria
Guest guest
Since the subject is copper, I'm confused about myself because my hair results indicate quite low copper (8.3), yet my serum compat. test shows me as highly reactive to same. --- In , " moriamerri " <moriam@e...> wrote: > yeah, that is about it, assuming that you are talking here about > a HIGH copper level on a hair test. Guest guest
Greetings: Anybody here ever try the detox patch you wear on your foot at night? If so, what was your experience? Do you still use them? Contraindications? Could someone look on their bottle of GB6 and tell me who the manufacturer is? I cant find on a search engine. If you care to share comments on use of that I would be interested too. I know Will uses and likes, I am hoping someone else has experience so I have a access to least two opinions. Thanks,
Guest guest
> Anybody here ever try the detox patch you wear on your foot at night? No, but I investigated it quite heavily at one time. In the end I decided they were too expensive. I think they worked out at $3 each, that's $6 per night. (Or was it $3 per night? I can't remember). Anyway, I really liked the idea, read all the testimonies and wanted to try it, but then I decided there were cheaper options I could try. Maybe when I've run out of those...
