Hi , A search of the archives would be some good reading on the

subject of stone analysis. Most who have tried to have their stones

analyzed were met with rejection of their request. It's my

understanding, from those who have tried, that we can't just go a

lab and say: " hey, would you analyze these for me and tell me what

they are? " A doctor has to order the tests. They normally won't.

Too bad, because they would very easily prove they are real

gallstones if they were willing to find out.

There are many types of gallstones, and most are made of cholesterol

and bile (and various other toxins rolled up into a ball). These

float and are soft and waxy. These can't be seen with an ultrasound

and so some mistakenly think they are not gall stones. Some contain

calcium and are whitish and harder. These can be seen with an

ultrasound, and so some mistakenly think that they are the

only " real " gallstones. Some are other various colors and they run

the gamet in size from chaff to marble or bigger.

I know I'm not Tony, but thought I'd add my 2 cents on stones in

general and what I've seen on the list from people who have tried to

have their stones analyzed. The subject comes up cyclicly every so

often.
