Guest guest
Hi Del, I did several flushes with 12 amalgam fillings in. I got them out recently, but having them in didn't prevent me from greatly benefiting from the flushes. I don't know of any reason to need any more tests on your kidney or liver before you do a flush. I'm a lot more concerned about the symptoms you discribed in your last post. They indicate a reason to NOT do a liver flush. You need to know exactly what's causing your lack of ability to eat solid food before you burden your system with a flush. Best Regards, Vince > > > 1-I would like to know if having amalgum fillings therefore possible > mercury toxcidity is a problem? Is there another test I should do to find out if > liver and kidneys are okay before going ahead with a cleanse?? Ignorant arrogance of science (and medicine). You come to me because you have pain in the kidney area, I perform the tests that I know of, everything looks normal= you don't have a problem. I maintain that your long term pain in the kidney area is iron clad proof that you have a problem. Now you need to find out what it is, which obviously means journeying out of mainstream medicine since they cannot detect it. If I look on the Christmas tree and I cannot find the pickle, does this mean it is not there? Pulse diagnoses, applied kinesiology, QXCI (sp?) machine, EAV, Ayurveda, a pendulum, an intuitive, a doll with some of your hair attached and dressed in a piece of your clothing... All probably offer you more potential than the clinic down the street now. More on your other posts. Guest guest
Okay Dave, I know what side of the bread your toast is buttered on! I feel the same way! That is why I have an appointment with an allergist tomorrow. I want to rule out any more food intolerances and food sensitivites. I already know I have celiac disease and want to find out if I am also casein intolerant. I have been on the CSDiet since the 7th of Jan. Are you familier with it? Eating no fiber, starch, sugar or grains to begin with. Fiber is allowed after 6 months or no " D " . I don't have " D " but still can't seem to eat any raw fruit or veggies. I haven't really tried since the 7th. Other things I have tried on the diet the first 2 weeks were chicken soup and broth, that I made myself out of pastured chickens, cooked squash, cooked butternut squash, homemade 24 hour yogurt made from raw milk and raw cream. Eating those things caused severe pain. Most of the pain was on my left side right about my waist area, but I also had it in the intestines, stomach and lower back. The pain in my kidney area is there when I have to sit and lean back in a chair only. That's the pain I have had for many years. Today my pain is mostly gone as long as I only eat the little bit I am eating. Acturally, except for feeling whipped, exhausted and light-headed I am starting to feel more like my old self. I have some questions about Dave email that looks like something that is sent out to everyone when they join. I will start another thread for those. Thanks, Del Del Wrote: > > 1-I would like to know if having amalgum fillings therefore possible > > mercury toxcidity is a problem? Guest guest
Del: GO to the archives and search " pancreatitis. " I had a bout of it as have many others and there should be plenty of info there. I cannot tell from your symptoms if that is a realistic diagnosis, but its possible. I wrote about the diet I used then that was very restrictive but very soothing for the gut and I felt better fairly soon -- within a week. It was based on " cooked foods " initially. I began as follows: clear water, then herb tea (peppermint or something very soothing), then a clear veg broth, then the broth plus chunks of the vegetables left in it, then cooked vegetables, then cooked vegetables with a tsp of oil, then rice (white, then brown, then other grains, no wheat) plus vegetables, then protein -- very good quality plus vegetables, etc. To get to the last step took about 3 weeks. I went very slowly and was very concious of food combining. If anything did not sit well I pulled back to the previous step. One day I knew it was time to add raw vegetable juices which I diluted with water to begin with. I also added an apple after a week or so. This diet lets your pancreas rest and rebuild. It takes time to heal -- at least 3-4 weeks and I was not well during that time. This is really one of those problems that requires patience. I now have two diets: what I do normally (and occasionally I push it to test the waters) and what I do when I am acute. What I outlined above is acute intervention, ie food as medicine. Again, I cannot tell from your posts if this is an appropriate route for you to consider, but it might be. Good luck, (Atlanta)
Guest guest
Hi , I had a hard time finding your post again. I really wanted to get back with you. So you had pancreatitis? Can you tell me a little about your symptoms etc? Did you go to the hosp? Did you take any meds? Was it really only 3-4 weeks before you were better? How are you doing now? I see the GI on Feb 9th (earlier in other post you may have read feb 19th, but it got moved up)I did not go to the hosp but I had severe pain that seems to stay with me for 16 days, night and day. I looked up just about every gut issue that I came across until I found pancreatitis and it sounded like what I was going through. I didn't have fever, nauea or jandice. I didn't start looking these up until the pain stopped. 5 days pain free now! I am very interested in the way you ate to feel better to. Right now I only have 4 foods that I know doesn't bring pain and afraid to try other foods. Today I did introduce some raw peeled, cored and grated apple for breakfast and tonight I strained the water from my squash, added a sm amount of coconut oil, sea salt and pepper. It was sooo good. It has been an hour since I had it and still pain free. I am so in favor of the way you ate to get better. It just sounds so healing. Could you share some of the proper combined veggies that you used to get veggie stock? You say you added a raw apple after 1 or so weeks. So the rest of this was done in 2 weeks. What was a day of eating like in the 2nd week? 3rd week? I would like to talk to you about all this. Sorry for so many questions. Stay well, Del > Del: > > GO to the archives and search " pancreatitis. There is a wonderful broth in section 3 -- Juicing or Healing broth section, I cannot remember which. I was not given a list of do this on day 1, do this on day 2. I was told exactly what I wrote you. THere is info on food combining in Prescription for NH. As I felt better I would try another step. If it worked, fine. If not I stepped back to the previous step and waited for my pancreas to heal some more. The early days were not fun since I had NO DAIRY, NO FAT, NO PROTEIN, NO NUTS, NO GRAIN. I became a big fan of butternut squash. But I felt ok and could eat as often as I wanted and I was so glad not to be in a hospital and scared I would end up in one if I didnt take it slow. Guest guest
Del: I have great compassion for your situation and yes I have read your posts. However, I am not a doctor and I am not there to observe the silent and subtle clues the right doctor will tune into. I suggest you find a good naturopathic doctor and work with them. I have had a relationship with one that is excellent for about 3 years and she has really helped me turn around my health, especially digestion issues. I did not go to the hospital since I knew immediately what was happening and took immediate steps to not make things worse (Alok, note this please.) I got lucky and the stone that was blocking the duct moved after a healthy dose of epsom salts, some homeopathy, herbs and a lot of prayer. I also have benefit of a massage therapists who does visceral massage on me and I think I got her involved too, if I remember, to open things up. I did not want pancreatitis and I viewed it as a messenger to deal with my reponsibility issues which is what the pancreas is about in Chinese medicine. Most people get pay-offs having illness. It gives them leverage with their family or permission to " not do some things " that they will not give themselves ordinarily. I am not saying you are in that category, but I always stop and ask myself what is this issue providing me ..... The right natural medicine doctor can be a total blessing and a staunch helpmate in the road to healing. Find the right one since it sounds like you need a companion on that journey and while internet advice and info is well-intentioned IMHO it is not designed to go beyond that -- a source of ideas and great intentions and cheer-leading. Best wishes, (Atlanta)
Guest guest
You are the first person I have come across that had pancreatitis that didn't go to the hosp. Most are telling me that no one can survive the pain without going to the hosp. Did you at least go to a doctor to get a diagnosis? How was it diagnosed? Have you read what I went thru, I don't want to repeat? My pain has stopped. It lasted a little longer than 2 weeks. I basically did what you did, just stop eating and by trial and error during those weeks found 4 foods that seem to work. I am in the " trying to add more foods " stage now. I seem to be able to handle raw fruits but have not found even 1 veggie that I can tolerate. I have started cooking my veggies in water, one at a time and drinking about 1/2 cup of the water. So far, each time the pain comes back but not as intense because of so little I have taken, I think. In the first 2 weeks I was eating the beginner SCDiet diet that including lots of different veggies at once and it just didn't work for me. Since I do not have or had from the beginning, fever, nausea, vomiting,D, no blood in the stool nothing but severe pain. Would you say that it does not sound like pancreatitis to you? I am not looking for a diagnosis, just your opinion. Thanks for your time and your answers in helping me with this.
