Guest guest
Sorry, , I hope you aren't personally attached to that article. I think it's one of many dumb-assed scientific blathers that confuse the general public and further MYSTIFY (in their words) staying healthy. Typical gastro-enterologist goobldegook pendantry. This one is also once removed as well, because the media has gotten a hold of it and run it through their special science-dumbber-downer machine. The media particularly LOVES " research " that shows things once thought to be " good " that are really " bad " for you (they like that even better than their second-favorite: those things thought to be " bad " that are actually now proven " good " for you. If you want to create science that the media will slobber all over, strive for one or the other. This kind of research tends to focus on the minority who may not do well with fiber, the minority who have problems not solved by drinking enough water, and, most irritating of all, belittles the problems with stool sitting in the intestine too long (auto-intoxication, they call it). It also cuddles up to the medical mindset that we should feel more free to gobble more laxatives as the best path to regularity. They are gastro-enterologists so they want you to get used to taking drugs. It's only one small step then to Rx drugs. The main concept is that you are too stupid to be healthy, BUT, thanks to modern science you can be healthy. I could go on and on. It's gastro-enterologists who publish a load of ---- like this that I think are hurting us the most. A POX on the lot of them! Gallstone sufferers, most of all, should do everything in their power to keep from getting constipated. It's sets us up for problems. Additionally, I watched my father suffer from diverticulitis, which led to colostomy after colostomy and flnally death. Had he known about fiber, drinking water, more exercise and all the rest he would probably still be around. Will, -------- my pants over articles like this, in Minneapolis
