Guest guest
You want a " single gear " masticating juicer so that it doesn't heat up and destroy your nutrients. There is some variation in satisfaction with particular kinds of juicing among the different types of juicers. If you are going to juice wheatgrass, it's a different ballgame and you should get a juicer that handles it. Also, I have heard that if you are going to juice a gallon a day, you should get a commercial quality juicer with a warranty. Otherwise, the Omega 8002/8003/8004, the Solostar, or the Champion are all good and all around $249, but ebay has them all usually to get for a lower price. Oh, another thing is yield--how well does it extract, you will know by the output and also by the dryness of the solid " waste " I have heard that the solostar is unsurpassed in this area. I'd advise against the vitamix, the jack lalane, etc...they heat up and destroy the vitamins. Any cheap juicer is probably not worth it, like anything else, you're going to get what you pay for. Wait to bid on a good one on ebay or plunk down the change for a good one. With a warranty! Then find a store that sells 25 pound bags of carrots...harder than finding a juicer, LOL. Guest guest
Hi , I recommend the Omega 8003. Dr. Mercola researched all the juicers and came up with this one as the best juicer for the money on the market. I bought one a couple of years ago and have been very pleased with it. http://www.mercola.com/article/juicer.htm Vince --- In gallstones , Bueno <amanda_bueno@y...> wrote: > Hello, > > Any recommendation on an excellent juicer? > > Thanks. Guest guest
Hi , We have a Vita Mix and have used it for years for a variety of things. It is good for many things. We still got an Omega 8000 series juicer to juice all types of fruits and vegetables. It is a slow moving screw type extration which works well on leafy, sprouted, and firm fruits and vegatables. I can juice apples, carrots, garlic, leafy stuff, and sprouts together. The Vita Mix is one of the worst ways of juicing for adding lots of oxygen and heat to the juice. This causes rapid loss of enzymes, nutrients, and anti-oxidents in your juice. This is not to mention it leaves all the fiber in the juice. Leaving the fiber is not necessarilly bad, since we need more fiber in general in our diet. It's bad if you want the most nutrient concentrated juice for healing and flushing.
