Guest guest
Help! I want to get a juicer and I have no idea which ones are worth it and which ones to avoid. Now is probably a good time to mention that I'm mechanically " handicapped. " Up until this point I have always avoided machines in my kitchen that are going to require a lot of cleaning (ie. food processors) especially if they have one or more sharp parts. My beloved husband worked overtime one year to buy me a top of the line food processor with dozens of little parts -- and I much prefer a small paring knife and a grater... quiet little things that are easy to clean and cheap enough I can have four or five on hand just in case I haven't cleaned the others yet. So I want something safe, easy to clean, and hopefully quiet to run. BUT, I'm not interested in a manual citrus juicer, because I have a couple of those already. I need something that will juice carrots and beets and lettuce and cabbage and whatever else I find to pulverize. I need something that doesn't have too much potential for exploding juice all over my kitchen and is mostly dishwasher safe. I don't sound like a terribly good candidate for a juicer, do I??? LOL! Anyway... I want to do this for my health, but I'm lazy, so I need to know which juicers aren't terribly expensive but will fit my needs. Any suggestions? I've looked at a few on eBay, but I don't have a clue which ones to bid on. Lucinda
