Hi to all-

My name is Gail, age 54 (almost). I was told by my surgeon right

after a hysterectomy a few years ago, that I have gallstones. I

asked why he didnt remove them while I was *open* and he said they

didnt do that without consent. So after I healed I asked about

having surg--was told unless the stones were *bothering* me they

preferred to leave them alone and not take the gallbladder out.

OK. I had INSURANCE back then. Now I do not.

I tried the Atkins Diet (Im 50+ lbs overweight) and guess what--I

started having gallbladder attacks. I got off Atkins, tried all

meds (OTC and some prescription Nexium from a friend) I could think

of to ease my nightly pain and nothing helped except Phayzime.

Finally I guess those darn stones passed or I just got my

gallbladder quiet--I dont know which and frankly dont care. I can

sleep at night now, and that was a rare thing a while back.

What Id like to know is more about the cleansings that Im reading

bits and peices about. I wonder if this is something I should

consider? I have also read a bit about a water treatment, where I

drink half my body weight in oz of water. (That surely cant HURT,

can it?) I can to that if it is truly helpful. But I do know that

you can read ANYTHING, and any one can offer advice whether they

know anything or not. Id like to know what REAL advice

an 'educated' person would give me?? I also have high blood

pressure and high cholesterol--the water treatment sounded like it

would work on all those ailments but I want to *know*??? Im hoping

this list will help. Thanks!----------Gail
