Dave's points are good re. Coke being a radically different substance than it

was when it really was " The Real Thing " . To his statements refuting it's use

medicinally, I would add that one of the worst adulterations of it was the

substitution of Cane Sugar with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Even when

I was a child we had the bad, but less harmful, cane sugar. Sitll, I have a

mouthful of toxic AMALGAM thanks to my childhood addiction to sugar and

soda pop. I've never gotten a cavity since I gave up carbonated beverages.

High fructose corn syrup is not recognized as a natural product in the body

and therefore racks up tremendous damage, especially in the liver and

pancreas. This is a really a food of the devil. HFCS is being incriminated in a

raft of chronic degnerative disease and is the food of choice of cancer cells,

vastly more dangerous than glucose. Livers clogged with glycogen lead to

bile and cholesterol clogging. Then with Coke there is the issue of

PHOSPHORIC ACID, the CAFFEINE, and the ASPARTAME (far worse than

any sugar- plus it make you FAT!!!). The CARBONATION will drop your blood

oxygen up to 25% for several hours. Several cans a day will drop the oxygen

enough to impair the immune system.

The average American downs over 170# of sugar a year! Two-thirds of this is

hidden in food. This average is over 53 teaspoons/person a day. Is it any

wonder we are all sick? Excess sugar in the diet is the leading cause of a

jammed up liver.

Also:

1) Coca-cola is the #1 consumer of sugar in the world

2) 9000 Cokes are gulped every second around the world

3) Annual gross profits = $12.5 billion last year

4) The Coca-cola brand is recognized by 94% of the world's population

5) Coca-cola spends $1.6 billion (1999) a year advertising, hooking children

6) There are countless cases of Coca-cola abusing local communities and

employees.

This is it's great claim to fame in digestive disorders. Put a piece of

meat in a glass of coke and see what is left the next day. I know auto

shops that use it to remove rust from chrome. Think what it is doing to

your mucosa. Also the phosphoric acid in all soft drinks is one of the main

players in the over acidification of America. If you are worried about

osteoporosis, think twice.

Creates formaldehyde in the presence of heat and metal. Already known and

admitted by the scientific establishment to cause brain damage in infants.

I could go on about this one and the anti-Christ (Monsanto) till they give

me shots in my stomach from the foaming-at-the-mouth.
