Curezone covers parasites in great detail, so I'm sure you've at least thought about them as a potential cause of your gallstones. ============================================ I did read quite a bit about parasites as a possible cause for my gallbladder and intestinal problems. My health food store owner told me I didn't need a parasite cleanse, since I wasn't experiencing unusual weight loss. I am pretty much maintaining my 145 lbs.( about ideal for my age, height and bone mass). I have done 3 Dr. Saul liver cleanses in 8 months. In the past 3 weeks, I have done a small number of epsom salts solutions and about 4 days of homozon for colon cleanse. Last week, I tried to add acidopholus, biphidus to my diet. I had to stop that, as it seems have severely constipated me. I tried the epsom salts again to get my bowel movements going. It's not working as well as it did before Acid. Bifid. Now I have just taken a teaspoon of psyllium fiber in the form of of Metamucil. I have incresed my activity level from a fairly sedentary lifestyle, other than a little gardening and housework - to adding 20 minute walks 2 or 3 times a week, occasional 20 minute swim. I am reading Dr. Cabot's Liver Cleanse bestseller, started taking her Livatone tonic capsules( for about a week so far). and have added more EFA's to my diet and am gradually adding more fiber and have increased my water intake to 8-10 glasses a day. I am still experiencing bloating and intestinal discomfort. I have high pain tolerance so can't really use that as an indicator. If I start to experience pain, I suspect I will have really gone to far with my self healing journey. I am trying awfully hard not to be discouraged, since stress adds to liver discomfort, but I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. I have not been very regimented in cutting out bad fats altogether, but have reduced significantly..especially no more potato chips, candies, soda pop, cheese, ice cream (previously pretty regular snack foods). I should have dropped a ton of weight just from this alone, never mind parasites - but I haven't noticed any significant weight change. I have done just about all the reading I can digest. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know of, or can't afford to spend a ton of money on, a homeopath and/or naturopath doctor. I'm thinking I will have to figure out a way to find and afford one verrry soon. Or am I expecting results too quickly? I sure do like the soft feel of my skin with all the EFA's, but can do without the extra acne I am seeing. Thanks in advance and God Bless, Jeanne
Guest guest
I can tell that you are obvioulsy making a lot of changes for the betterment of your health. You are to be applauded for taking such good care of yourself! Y'know, I would have taken the word of the great guy down at my health food store, too, back before I saw the horrible photos at CureZone. Since then, I'm taking parasite cleansing herbs -- just to play it safe. My favorite is cayenne capsules, because it also helps my aching knees and it works as an internal bug spray -- as long as there are others around who don't eat cayenne, the mosquitoes will go eat their blood, not mine! From what I read, a mixture of black walnut, cayenne, and cloves should kill off just about every known parasite. I take prepared parasite cleanse capsules as well as the cayenne to get all that -- and I don't take them all the time -- after the initial cleanse I probably take them one week every other month or so, just to be on the safe side. I've been thinking about just mixing my own herbs and stuffing my own capsules, but for now I'm too lazy to go to all that bother. I also try to get more garlic and onions in my diet, as well as rosemary and basil and sage... and anything else I find in my cupboard. Parsites aren't something I want to mess with. In our journey as parents so far we've had lice (that was our welcome to living in England!) and pin-worms (welcome to Texas) and fleas (more of Texas) -- which is how I learned about the cayenne not being popular with bugs! I just don't want to mess with those things any more! It's not that hard to take a capsule or two a day and be free of the worry of parasites. The other thing I do for my gallbladder and my general health is take lots of vitamin C. The more I read about vitamin C online the more of it I take. I'd like to hear from Will and how much vitamin C they take and how much they'd recommend for others to take. My gallbladder has been blessedly quiet since I started taking about 4,000mg of vitamin C and 500mg of magnesium oxide before bed along with some flax oil capsules. That said, I don't have much pain with my gallbladder anyway. The only way I knew I had gallstones was because I had an ultra-sound to check my uterus and the technician told be about the gallstones while she was touring my abdominal cavity. The doctor told me that as long as I wasn't having any pain that he wouldn't insist I had my gallbladder removed yet. I hope your health continues to improve and that you find a naturopath that you can trust to help you through your journey.
