Guest guest
Good luck with your surgery . I'll keep both you and your son in my prayers. I hope his homecoming becomes a happier event. a [ ] hospital It is now Saturday evening and I don't go into the hospital till Sunday afternoon but now I have time to write. I will be going No Mail while I'm away but will have Steve send a report. I really wish this weren't needed but it is. I look like I'm about to go into labor if I don't have the binder on. On another front, our son, Dan, is coming home under not too happy conditions. A little background-he got into trouble-drugs & alcohol, when a Junior in HS and we sent him to a " treatment " facility-Utah Boys Ranch. He stayed for a little over a year but when 19 walked away without finishing the program or HS. He did some take home packets and thought he was done. I just found out he isn't. He has been living in Utah with his girlfriend's family. On Thursday, he told her that he wanted to move on without her and she had a fit, threw things at him, attacked him with her nails, broke a vase over his head. He had to call the police to help get his stuff out. He is now with our daughter, a, a Senior at BYU but wants to drive home. His car needs fixing. He bought it when he had a good job but now he doesn't but still has big payments. Have I mentioned before that he is bipolar and not being treated. Why didn't someone warn us how hard this parenting would be, I so loved having babies! He is a good kid who has lost his way and hopefully will find it again. I can't believe it's time for it already. Where are the months going? Advance thanks to Steve for dropping us a line. I also sincerely hope that Dan does indeed find his way in this world very soon. Guest guest
Dear Lottie, I am sorry that Jimmy wasn't able to go home as planned because there is no place like home to recover from surgery. It is better that he recuperates in the hospital and doesn't rush going home. I hope you are taking care of yourself as well. It must be nice to not be the patient for awhile and be the caregiver instead. Our spouses do such a great job of taking care of us that it is wonderful to be able to return the favor and take care of them when they need some extra TLC and support. Love, > > Hi All, > We thought Jimmy would be coming home tomorrow, but they have postponed it again. He was in an irritable mood with the hospital today, but I have heard that is not unusual after heart surgery. Although they removed 2 tubes yesterday, he still has them in his neck and stomach, which should be removed tomorrow, or so he thinks and I know he is tired of lying on his back and would like to get out of bed. They also changed his pain meds, so he is not as nauseated. > > Will stay in touch, and a warm thanks for the cards that are finding their way to our mailbox. > Blessings, > Lottie > >
