Guest guest
Will, Anxiety and Anger is an area I have to work on in my life. What is the Abraham...??? I'm interesting in exploring anything that would benefit my health/mental well being. Thanks for sharing the tips. Dee Manage THOUGHTS especially ANGER. This involves mainly letting go of things and not agitating myself further. Also WORRY, ANXIETY and NEGATIVITY have to go bye-bye! I think it's the most important preventative of all. I also use yoga, meditation, Abraham, and more.
Guest guest
Dee, and all, I do think that mastering EMOTIONS, as well as the breathing and physiological changes that go with the emotions, is the main method one can employ to get healthy. I mentioned Abraham as one of the techniques I've used to overcome some recent anger and stress issues. I think those pervasive thoughts have eroded my health quite a bit and I decided I needed to change to get healthy. I got this idea (and SO MANY other great ideas) right here on this site, Abraham was specifically from in Atlanta. Abraham is basically a " channeled " voice that comes into the person of Ester Hicks (a real woman who's living in, of all places, Texas--SEE, not everything that comes out of Texas is a catastrophe!) and there is a whole industry that's started up around this message she brings. One of their main promoters is Wayne Dyer, if you've heard of him. I've found the basic techniques and beliefs quite helpful and I'm convinced you can use the techniques to achieve most goals, regardless of whether or not you believe in their whole program. I got the book ASK AND IT IS GIVEN first and now a set of CDs that I listen to in my car. It's pretty amazing. For the details check out the website www.abraham-hicks.com. I have no connection in any way with them, but I do believe it fits the parameters of curezone.com wherein we are in the process of actively changing our lives and asking to be healthy (as opposed to buying the slow and expensive death trip as dispensed from most surgeons and doctors around the world). Incidentally, I've found that there really aren't very many books on dealing with ANGER and the few that exist are kind of lame. However, the very best one I've found is FACING THE FIRE WITHIN by Lee. This one really works! Guaranteed techniques for blowing off steam without blowing out your GB! Self-mastery is my 'bag', as this is what I teach, and these writers have inspired and influenced me a lot. Other great writers to watch for, to manage emotions, are Zukav, " The Heart of the Soul " ...he covers the whole topic of anger and emotion mgt really well and in a very insightful, enjoyable format. As mentioned before, Dr. Carolyn Myss has written a great deal on the mind/body/soul connection in " Anatomy of the Spirit " .and " Sacred Contracts " , as well as Barbara Brennan, " Hands of Light " . Looking into energy healing modalities are also well worth the effort to see what calls to you...Reiki is a great place to begin. Deepak Chopra is also worth looking into. The thing about self-work is not to expect healing to happen overnight. " Where attention goes, energy flows " , and as soon as you place your attention on healing any emotion, it's important to be aware that you will be given repeated opportunities to heal that very thing! So, it may feel like you aren't getting anywhere, or taking two steps forward and one step back during the 'internal' healing process, but this is all very normal. Self-mastery is a lifelong process. Peace, n
