flax seed powder--thanks everyone & one more question

Thanks to everyone who commented on my ground flax

seed question. I have never ground any flax seed yet,

but need to start. I did buy a coffee grinder and

also have a Vitamix, so either way, I can do it. I

have had some seeds in my fridge (unground) for a

couple of years. Do they stay good indefinitely or do

I need to buy more?

One more question--I have seen cookie recipes using

flax seeds (probably ground). Since you have to bake

the cookies, wouldn't this cause the oil in the seeds

to go bad? I have heard people say that even the

process of encapsulating the oil might make it bad.

Any ideas on the cookie recipe?

PS my daughter sees a GI dr today to give us his idea

of the situation. I don't trust conventional drs. :(

I am praying that he will run another test showing

that the stone is gone...and God will get the credit.
