Guest guest
So can we do anything about a fatty liver? Does it ever go away? Just curious. Since my gallbladder attacks a month ago (my first 2) I've changed my diet dramatically, I've also added lecithin and milk thistle supplements. Should I be taking any other supplements? Other than the normal cleansing procedure? Also this whole fatty liver thing, does it stay that way forever or can it heal? Thanks, Traci
Guest guest
Traci; One of the great things about the liver is that it is the one organ besides our skin that will regenerate. Many who have had serious damage to their livers have been able to recoup quite a bit of it back by a diet rich in enzymes and essentail fatty acids. This really isn't all that hard to do except for the fact that many of us are Mc children. Many of the right foods don''t taste as good as we are use to eating, so there is a real problem with maintaining a new diet, which really isn't a diet but simply a return to the right food combinations of which had been avoided for so many years of our lives. If you get Dr. Cabot's book " The Liver Cleansing Diet " I think you'll have a much better understanding of what eating the right foods will do for your liver and body in general. Many diseases can be related back to the liver being out of condition or simply not being given the right tools with which to work for the body's good. Dale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Guest guest
Quit ALL animal products. No meat, poultry, seafood, shellfish, nor milk, yogurt, butter, cheese, none, nothing. Shari

Raw fruits and raw tender leafy greens. No meats, dairy, etc. as Shari suggested. No processed foods of any kind. No cooked starchy foods either. Doing this should also handle any stomach problems as well. -- Peace be with you, Peta. Guest guest
Yes, we did and hubby is finally eating a bit better....not perfect but at least he is trying. When he strays....I ask him if he wants a heart attack or a liver transplant and that is usually enough to convince him.....so far. He actually made himself a smoothy the other night out of soy milk and fozen fruit(and he actually was surprised that he liked it)......this a first as he was raised on a farm and was a meat and potatoes guy. Ok....soy may not be the best....but baby steps.
